The Wave 5 wait

Yes and with Wave 3 being very late, and Wave 4 being a lot earlier than expected, they've been released almost on top of each other. I noticed the notecards on the display at Toy Fair said Summer release for Wave 4 - too late! If that was their originally planned release date, Wave 5 most likely won't be announced until SDCC, and won't be released until Fall. I'd hoped we'd see three waves this year. Maybe we still can...

Yeah Tom, I agree. The E-Bay auctions from a couple weeks ago were the "leak" pics and it caused us to expect to see Wave 5. If you pretend for a moment that we haven't laid eyes on Wave 4 yet, those Toy Fair pics would've been the usual eye candy. For me they still are anyway as I can still stare at them until I get my Wave 4 set in my hands.

The more I think about it, we got some really early sneak peeks of Wave 4 and the Matty exclusives, which I believe were accidental leaks. So this might be their way of just settling back into the original process. Plus Mattel may not want to announce future lines too early if that keeps some from buying the current releases. People could bypass some waves to wait for others if they knew what to expect ahead of time. Just a thought.

Agreed Tom, I'm much less concerned about seeing photos now and more concerned with the confirmation that more are on the way. I just feel as though if there are more coming, it stands to reason that we'll see a Robin, the Super Gals and a couple more Bat Villains.
I still haven't picked up Wave 4 yet so I'm in no rush to buy Wave 5 anyway, just excited to see what they will look like.

LOL! It really is pathetic Tom! I really wanted to fall back asleep so bad just so I could go through with the sale! I've had similar dreams about original Megos as well but for some reason this one was especially hard to wake up from. Probably because I was last reading in the thread where people were asking if the line was dead last night before I laid down. It was in my head as I dozed off I suspect. I'm really hoping to see a glimpse of Wave 5 as I just have this feeling there's going to be another female in the next Wave since Mattel already has the female body and only used it twice on the Super Heroes thus far. Stands to reason they'd want to get some more mileage out of it. Any idea what this big announcement on Matty.com was supposed to be today Tom?

LMAO! After being here on the Museum for a good portion of yesterday, I fell asleep on the couch last night and had a Retro Action dream LOLOL! I was in a store and there was an endcap of about 100 or so figures, Supergirl, Batgirl, and Joker were on yellow cards! I was just about to pay for them and leave the store when I woke up. It was one of those dreams that you wish you could fall back asleep and continue. Perhaps I need professional help because I'm a grown man having dreams about toys! LOL! Shouldn't I be dreaming of fancy cars and tropical vacations instead? LOL!
