It's too early to have to start customizing. Yes, I'm with the overall disappointed crowd. I was hoping to see some more females since Wave 4 had all males. If everything was shown today though, what are they going to do for the other days?

Are you people serious? NO WHERE has it been said the line was dead. NO WHERE was it said the GL wave was Wave 5 and the line was moving to Matty. I'm actually not surprised anything was shown. We got to see a packaged Guy and the Kyle. So I'm happy.
If you seriously have nothing positive to say about the Retro Action Line please refrane from posting at all. You may have the right to post your feelings but I also have the the right NOT to have to listen to your ****. I believe Mattel's official reveal is from 3-6pm EST tonight, so we may get more information later. I am not worried until we hear real news.Comment

It's open speculation. All they have to do is come on board and say..."More waves to come folks." And that's it. Perhaps we'll get treated to Wave's 5 & 6 tomorrow. I have no idea. But you would think the reveal would have come today with the other figures. For many retailers attending the toy fair, this is the first time they are seeing Wave 4 and the Green lantern Corps from Matty. Why wouldn't you have a complete spread to show everyone what else is coming out in 2011? Is that not a fair question? Many of us support this line regularly. They've been pretty good about showing us stuff so I'm wondering what's different now? I know this is nothing like a Comic Con. Is it the same where they show products one day at a time? I believe the last time they showed us anything it was SDCC. If that tells us anything, it may mean that we won't see anything until then. Well the Museum would've known this by now no Tom? I doubt it's cancelled if nothing official has been seen about it here at the Museum. I would imagine this is one of the first places online we'd hear such a thing anyway. My feeling is they aren't showing Wave 5 because the GL exclusives stretch over four months alone. I have a feeling we'll know what characters are in Wave 5 sooner than we think. Hopefully we'll all be...
I think I may have to cave and buy the GL exclusives too, just in case the line is in trouble. Just because I buy them doesn't mean I have to like them. I want this line to continue at least another year. Just one more year.Comment

As an aside, you also have to remember, even though some here have the Wave 4 figures, they technically aren't even released yet right? Didn't that E-bay dude say he was getting them direct from Mattel? So the fact they had Wave 4 and the GL's on display is about what I'd expect to see no? You guys know more about this Toy Fair business than me.Comment

Not trying to be an *** here Scott. But I don't think anyone was really saying anything negative about the line. I think its more disappointment that wave 5 wasnt shown. And your post is a little Hitlerish kind of feels like if you don't agree with me you cant play here any longer. I to am getting tired of reading posts about how much people dont like stuff on some of the new figures or about charactor selection my thought about that is if you don't like them don't buy them. I for one love the new line and so do my kids. Without hearing everyones opinions good or bad what's the point of having a site to discuss our love of the hobby.
Again not trying to start anything just feel everyone has the right to state there opinion.

I hear ya John. And I'm not trying to be an *** about it. But every single line that's been announced in the 8" format has had a pack of wolves pounce on it with people repeatedly saying how much they hate it and won't be buying it. And that's fine. But I only need to read that once. Not over and over. I totally agree with you - don't like it then don't buy it. while I would love to hear what the figures will be in future lines, i would be even happier to actually be able to find these in stores.....with the exception of a few I found at TJ Maxx around Christmas, I have not even seen wave 2 in stores....I check Toys R Us every week and it is always the same amount of Luthers and Sinestros, nothing else. I even went to FAO Schwartz recently and all they had was the Ghostbusters. I know I can get them on line but part of the thrill is seeing them in storesComment

Very well put and thank you for not taking what I said the wrong way. I for one think I am very lucky to be around to see these new Mego's being made and to be able to share them with my kids. I support the new retro line 110% and hope they keep making new figures for years to come.Comment

I think we're all anxious to see what comes next. So let's keep our fingers crossed. Hopefully we will get some fun surprises over the next couple of days. That is my personal hope.Comment

And that's the thing. We are in an age where the 8" format is back with a vengence. We have Super Heroes, TV Shows, Movies, real people and who knows what else. Can't we just bask in the glory that is Mego or ReMego or Retro or whatever you want to call it? I am all over the Reto line. Hey Scott, it's called deduction. Matty committed to 32 figures, IIRC. They're not differentiating between TRU and Matty, retail and exclusive. We're at 21, with 11 to go, unless GA is considered zero.
If Mattel is calling Wave 4 "summer 2011" something is up, either with TRU distribution, a staggering of the line, or a NYTF screw-up. I hope it's a promotional err, because if it's a stagger, we might not see Waves 7 and 8 until Dark Knight Rises and Snyder's Superman.
Truthfully outside of wave clarification, I'm not expecting an explanation from EMCE because it's a delicate balance for them.Comment
