Padding

So I guess the padded suit option didn't come out so bad?

The padding works for Darkseid, he is one of my favorites. The padding adds the right amount of bulk in the right palces, and his head sculpt in massive enough to accent the padding. You have given the illusion this figure is about an inch taller. Great job and again many many thanks for bringing this line back.

I've not seen it in person, but I think the padding is fine here, Darkseid always looked bulky and not overly muscular. Different than say Hulk, I wouldn't want a padded suit with Hulk.

Ya'know, I think Darkseid is my least favorite so far. I haven't really seen him in person, but I'm not a huge fan of the New Gods stuff. Some really neat designs wasted (imo) on a whacked-out concept. Orion---oh, yeah. Darkseid---not so much. I'm not to psyched about Martian Manhunter either.

I think he looks great. Big improvement on the gloves, and I think the padded body suit works fine for this character. I agree it wouldn't work for a character like the Hulk -- but he's Marvel so we needn't worry about him... (yet?)

The only thing I'm concerned about is the neck: not too keen on the grey showing between the helmet and the costume. It may just be the angle of the figure in the photo. Hopefully it's just a matter of adjusting the costume a bit.

Oh that's right! You ever do anything with it? I designed purple trunks for mine. Then I bought two more and customized them into an Abomination and a Juggernaut (in my last post in the Finished Customs area).
That was an impressive figure and the closest you will ever get to the right size as far as size and width comparrison of Hulk as in a Mego-size.

If some miracle of a chance that Marvel jumps in the Retro action thing. I'll have to slap Dr. Mego along the noggin' with that figure. That would be the perfect thing to make a Hulk from!!!
