Looking at WW, Shazam, and Black Adam, I really wish all the gold stuff was done in yellow. Flash's boots are so vibrant compared to Shazam's.

I'd prefer yellow as well since that's what my old CC Beck comics have in the 70's.Check out my website: Megozine Covers - HomeComment

I don't know if I mind it that much, but I am surprised they went with the gold. Yellow is so much more retro.Comment

I much prefer yellow. I'm planning to buy an extra Shazam and Black Adam and try to redo them with yellow.Comment

I get what you guys are saying. Old school yellow. 'Cause that's what we had. I like yellow as well. But seeing as how the new Wonder Woman has gold elements (and they seem to work) I think it's fine to have gold for certain areas on a character where it seems appropriate.Comment

it's not as stark in contrast.
Frankly, I think gold is a bad idea.... but what ya gonna do?
We have so much to be thankful for regarding Alex Ross...
but the "yellow to gold"/"shiny stuff" is one thing I'd like to
never have seen happen."No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment

I do think yellow would have looked best, but I am okay either way. I have noticed they seem to doing less yellow and more gold on his figures of late.In The " Real World " Vampires Do Not Sparkle. They Burn In the Sun !

The gold is an improvement that needed to happen, just as the lack of oven mits is an improvement. If Mego had continued to today, they would have made similar improvements along the way.
If they were making Marvel figures, I would want Thor's helmet to be silver, like the original Mego one had, even though in the comic book print its white/grey because they don't actually use silver ink. Its the same thing.Comment

Yellow! Like the original Mego and the 1970's TV show and comics!
I want to get a Black Adam to go with my Mego Shazam but he won't fit in with the original costume color format.Comment

Its the same thing.Exactly! There's some compromise and I think they're figuring it out. For instance, they could've gone with a greyish silver for Wonder Woman's bracelets but they left them blue like in the comics but going for gold instead of yellow for the tiara, belt and breastplate.
Thor's helmet should be the EXCEPTION and not the rule."No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive.
