I'm not sure where the concern is on the "looseness" in the legs. It's not like they dangle. You have to swing them at the waist to get that effect your talking about. Then again original Megos were loose in the waist area. But that didn't stop them from posing well. Wave 3 performs just as well. I think that is just the nature of having a strung body on these figures. They will have some kind of give depending on the design. Having that bracket in the waist eliminates the obvious problem and, as far as I can see, allows them to do everything a Mego can do. My Flash can hold any length of stride in a run pose, so it's not like there are limitations to his posing or play ability. I don't know what kind of expectation is required beyond that. Perhaps if you were going to use him as a bookend, that might present a problem.Comment

Well, body problems aside, in my opnion there's one way these babies are worth $20 easy (and will always be worth at least that much)...don't open them. Problem solved if value for money is such a chronic concern for some people with these Retro Heroes. If you are at TRU exclusively shopping for toys for your kids and you buy a Retro Hero for $20 and it doesn't meet your expectations, return it for store credit and then simply overlook the line next time you toy shop for the little ones. As far as collectors go, for whom I believe this line is really geared towards (ie: limited avilability at retail and the $20 price tag); if you collect loose, find a way to get them to stand (doll stand or whatever) and pose them on a shelf and leave them alone, after all Barbies don't stand on their own either yet they are a staple as far as childrens' toys go. If you collect MOC, then you always know your $20 isn't gone or "wasted."Last edited by LOU; Dec 28, '10, 12:42 PM.Comment

I believe (and I could be wrong) that most people are not viewing these figures as $20 figures. They are viewing them as $80 to $100 for all four because nobody really wants to buy just one. They want to collect 'em all.
It's not $20 that is a turn-off, it's almost $100 including shipping that's a turn-off.
You can look at any of the other lines that are out: Lost, Twilight Zone, Venture Bros, even DC Universe figs and most consumers are only going to get certain figures in that series. But, with Retro WGSH, we look at each Wave of four/five figures and we want to buy them all together at once and when you do that your $20 quickly turns into $80 plus shipping real fast. And for many it is really hard to part with close to $100 these days.
IMO $20 is not too much for these figures. It's just that when a new Wave comes out we want them all at the same time and that CUMULATIVE price tag is what is hard to swallow.
Just my opinion on this whole debate.Check out ALL my customs at https://www.facebook.com/megowgshcustomsComment
