I Found 2 Retro Action Figures in TJ Maxx

Just got back from checking another TJM 10 mins from my office. Found 3 Bats, 1 Supes, 1 Aquaman, and 1 Black Manta. Picked up the AM and BM and left the rest. Still am dumfounded how easy it was to find Wave 2 the past two days vs nothing in TRU the past three months.

Also picked up DVD copy of 'Doctor Detroit' for $3.99...the lady at the checkout counter said "hmmm, I haven't seen that version of Dr. Doolittle before"

Checked TJ Maxx in Queensbury, Wilton, Latham, and Rotterdam, Marshalls in Clifton Park, Latham, Schenectady, and Guilderland, AJ Wright in Troy and Albany, NY nothing yet that these locations.

9.99's a deal but all the gas/time you spent driving totaly screwed your margin.......buy em online.

I'm after a cheap black manta. Tried our TJ maxx, but just ended up with 10 minutes of sugar-coated jazzy x-mas tunes while I dug through every nook and cranny. I'm sure they are out there somewhere though. It did look just like Marshalls.
I'm still kicking myself for not buying the 12" scale giant ghostrider cycle that was at Marshalls a couple years ago. It cost less than the current postage for it nowadays.

Reminds me of digging through BIGLOTS! stores as well.
A disorganized crap fest, but if you dig long enough you might find something you can use for a custom figure.

I went to a TJ Maxx in Beaverton, OR and didn't find anything. But there was a Toy R Us Express next door, so I bought another Aquaman so I wouldn't go home empty handed. At the TRU Express they still had 2 Batman, 2 Aquaman, a Two-Face but no Black Manta.

Marshall's sells a lot of home goods and toys too.

SCORE! My Marshal's had at least two cases of wave 2, weird no Mantas though. Thanks for the heads-up, I only heard of one instance of wave 2 at any TRU here and I missed it.

Yo all, I wouldn't be TOO happy that these are being found there... these stores are structured as dumping grounds for overstock, and canceled brands. I hope the DC Retro-figs are not in the latter... and is just Mattel dealing with some canceled orders. (But wave 2?)

At any rate, I'll be hitting all stores around me to get what I can find for $9.99.

AMAZING! The TJ MAXX near us here happens to be the VERY LOCATION where I bought Megos as a kid! Same plaza, same walls, same store location, same doorway...just decades later! I would love to find the Retros on the very ground where I bought Megos so long ago! How cool is that?!!! Thanks for the head's up!

Well, heck. There's a TJ a few miles from my house, and a quick Google search showed they're open till 9:30 so I took a little excursion and found one Aquaman. I hesitated, as I'm really only interested in Bats. But hell, I had AM as a kid, and at that price it was definitely worth. He's already out of the shell, and yes, wobbly as all get out. But he stands, and if my daughter shows any interest (maybe as a mate for her Barbie) then he's all hers. Will check the other one across town sometime this week for Bats. And my initial reaction was, "Man, he's light!"
