Just rounded out the set of current Retro action's. Doing this little photo really brought it home for me that the "magic" is back. so to the naysayers, lighten up and enjoy the moment...
I love when I have kids come over and they're blown away by these figures, (Mego, EMCE, Retro Action), and they say things like I was lucky to be a kid back then, and why can't kids today have stuff like this, well they can! I just wish that it was as widespread amongst kids as it was back in the day, when the name MEGO meant something.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
I LOVE how these things look, but we got burned on Lex and Sinestro.
Does anyone know if they worked out the floppy joints yet, or?
Its very frustrating really...we collect the Masters of the Universe Classics figures as well, and at $30 a pop shipped, things like ankles being so loose that a figure cannot stand and quality control issues need to be handled FAST.
Are the Twilight Zone figures loosey goosey as well? (I'd LOVE a few of those, but not if they are going to be marionettes..)

Take care -
Twilight Zone are EMCE not Mattel so the bodies are just like mego bodies no floppy waists on them at all and the head sculpts are some of the best I have ever seen
Thanks for trying to share your enthusiasm. Hope you've learned your lesson.
Seriously, if you've weighed in on a hundred other threads about how much you hate these figures the point has been made. Can't you back off for once and give the guy some room to be happy?
That's a nice photo, Jim. The Retro-Action Batman is growing on me. I'm happy with my original Mego RMB, but I can see why you like that so much. I dig the TWZ guy in the back as well.
oh yeah!the magic is awsome, even though i never watched lost,or dark shadows,or even knew what venture bros was.i am buying them.at the time i never watched chips or the dukes, but loved the figures, and got them at the time.when i heard about the venture bros,i asked my nephew who watchs adult swim,to tell me about the show ,he loaned me his dvd,and i loved it ,and rewarded him with a set of figures, which he loved.twilight zone and universal monsters, more trek, and the mattel dc super heros.indeed the magic is back, thanks to all that made this possible
Yeah you're right Scott, I guess I'm flogging a dead Horse with Batman. I should have mentioned that I like many of the others(once you swap the Bodies out that is).
Ones I do like: Green Arrow, Lex Luthor, Sinestro, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and Twoface. There...happy now?
Thanks for sharing Jim. If they touch the child in you, then EMCE has done their job. I like that Greatest American Hero box set in your photo. Nice cover!
