I wonder what business sense that it makes for Stephen J. Cannell to been unwilling to license out either GAH or the A-Team? Yet he will license the new movies. That kind of strikes me as bizarre. I am sure Stephen is far from destitute, but still a business oportunity presents itself.

That would be like Bill Gates saying he has too much money now and does not want to make any more. Yeah right!

It looks like it is on hold now. That was quite a deal for whomever bought it.

I have one (thanks again, Scott!) but wish I had some extras. I certainly would love to see them done again.

I'm speculating here, but based on things I've seen in the past, I'm betting theres some kind of issue here with the studios licensing arm as well? Some kind of rider in the original contract that would force Cannell to pay them a percentage of royalties, or it gives them some kind of control over the process he doesnt want? Obviously something he feels they arent due. Not sure what, but usually in situations like this where licensed product would be a no brainer, yet isnt happening, its due to some kind of muddy contract issue.

More than likely you are probably right about that. It is the only thing that would actually make sense in this case.

                      BINGO!!

Cannell has plenty of money from years of writing and producing top
rated television shows and books. The licensing game is about many
                      people having input and sign-off.

I don't know the trail of ownership for most of these shows - let alone
what the contracts say about licensing rights. Before Lucas, no one
cared about licensing - now it's considered part of the revenue stream.

I saw William Kat back in August and even he doesn't own this figure. He said he was given a box of them and he gave them away. Sadly, I wasn't on his list.

                        C'mon, Doc. Work your magic!
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

With all the trouble I went through to get these and mail them all out I'd rather they not be reissued. Makes them more special. The week after FX ebay was flooded with them.
