I would agree. Those would indeed be great sellers. I think Mattel realizes that and figures what the heck. They know these will sell so there is no real hurry to bring them to market.

I have been buying from Mattel for several years and I know how they like to play games with collectors. There is a possibility that they could be saving the best for last if you will? Only time will tell. Of course though anything is possible when playing the Ma"shell" game.

I think they need to short pack the bad guys if they want the line to be a huge hit. The heroes are moving and selling big time. The foes are not. I have to admit I thought Lex Luthor would be a much bigger hit then he has been. I mean when you think of DC Comics history and the popularity of the bad guys Joker,Penguin,Riddler,Catwoman and Lex Luthor are easily the biggest guns and most famous world wide. I think there have been way too many minor bad guys realeased and not enough well known Bat foes. Joker,Penguin,Riddler and Catwoman have never been peg warmers. They are instant cash cows. These four need and deserve to be released.

I got it! They sell the Batmobile with Robin! That's why we haven't heard about him yet.

My guess is that Mattel WILL eventually make atleast the Batmobile for the retro figures if not the Ghostbusters Echo 1 as well. I could see both of those vehicles selling well. Providing of course that they look pretty good and have a reasonable price attached to them.

I would say based on most of the peeps responses here at the MM on other what if items that it would really depend on the price point. The price would make it or break it for a lot of collectors.

Well it most likely would... but it wouldn't have to.
This:Bratz World car retailed for 24.95 I recall. Even with licensing fees I'm sure Matty could put out a similar quality or slightly less paint op/detailed vehicle for $30 without breaking much sweat. It would be a damn cool toy.

Would they? I'm not betting the farm. Just saying they could.

Well I'll take 2 then! My godson would want one and so would I. I don't see how it would be 60, Mattel did a Batmobile for the DC friends and that was 30 and it had sounds and lights too. This one could be plastic without the lights and sounds.

I'd love an invisible jet! but I'd take a cool batmobile for the retro line too.

I can't really think of any other character that's been released or may be released that would need a vehicle. Oh wait, an Invisible Jet for Wonder Woman would be cool but considering the price point on the figures I'd bet that vehicles would be through the roof.
Since when do toy companies need to be practical? Hasbro,Toy Biz and Mattel has given everybody and their uncle some kind of superhero vehicle at some point in time.

If Mattel was sure they'd sell, they'd be making them. Either they haven't done the research, or they have and know their answer.

I assume that the Retro Figures are small potatoes of the overall toymarket and couldn't sustain too many offshoots. However, if they kept costs down by repurposing existing Barbie molds... maybe they could squeeze some money out of them.

But I'll say it again and again - anyone who makes an 8" scaled black Lincoln Futura is going to make their money back, tooling or no.

Lots of possibilities, especially from the 70's era.

Yeah, there's plenty of possibilities. And I assume - like with the figures - the Batmobile and Batcycle wouldn't be exact copies of the Mego ones. And add a Batboat and Batplane while you're at it

Yeah, that'd be nice, but I'd settle for an in-scale modified two-seater/two-door design.
