We only have 1 TRU in my town so I'm kinda at it's mercy on what's stocked. The next closest one is 90 miles away. Like I said I would have bought those Lexs just to empty the peg. Just amazed it was Wave 1 that was added.

AT-AT, I was thinking 60 to 70, no over 100 bucks! They don't run the stuff of sale like target and wal-mart. How are they staying in business???
I looked at the vintage Star Wars while I was in TRU today.

They had exactly one figure...a Darth Vader on a card creased across the middle. Still $9.99 with a big old empty space 360 degrees all around. No one is going to buy that for that price and no one who works there seems to get that. It will probably just hang there at the SRP while they all dig their collective butts wondering, "Hmmmm....you'd think Vader would have sold out first."????

The scalpers, the people that pay the stupid scalping prices that keep in turn supporting the scalpers and impatient people and/or people that has more money than brains.

I havent been to TRU in a while. Are the same old scams still going on where scalpers return stuff they horde and can't sell? MOnths if not years later?

Went to another of Toledo's TRU's today and walked out with a Two Face. They were stocking today and must have unpacked a case no long before I got there. They had 1 Supes, 3 Bats, 2 Aquas, 1 2face and 1BManta. There were 2 Sinestros as well.
Two Face is the one I really had to have of series 2, so now I can relax. I'll probably pick up a Batman Friday if they still have them.

I have not seen that done is a while now. Not to say that it is not still being done. I think a lot of the stores wised up to that idea. Every now and then I will see some older HW's at Wal-Mart hanging on the pegs when they should have been loooong gone. I am talking 1998 - 2000 First Editions and stuff that did not really sell as well as the scalpers, hoarders had thought.

Not TRU - but I did see wave 2 at the beach today. I had the day off today, so the whole troupe went to Rehoboth, DE for some down time. There is a little toy shop there called "Fun for All" and as I was going to enter the shop to look around, I see a boy run up to the window begging for his parents attention stating a few times "I want THAT Batman!". Well, I went inside excited to see wave 2, but left without any as they were selling at the $29.99 price. The kid's parents reaction was "no," too, but boy did he seem excited about it when he saw it. Later in the day I showed my own kids the store window and my son admired it, while my daughter decided that ice cream would be better that a Batman figure.
                It's all good!

Still nothing in the Albany area. I may hop in the virtual car and take a ride to Amazon later today. On another note, I'm considering using four of the Mattel bodies on a set of customized retro Beatles action figures. I think they'll work perfectly ...

That's hilarious!... it took me a second or two, though. I was thinking, "Beatles would be cool! Wonder why he wouldn't want to use Doc Mego bodies or something." Then, zing!!

To all the Dallas TX area Mego fans- I got mine at Keith's Comics on Mockingbird Lane, east of Central Expressway; 214-827-3060. I kept Two Face and Black Manta on Mattel's bodies, after I secured the waist- just like Sinestro. Aquaman is fully switched to Mego (with LJN muscle arms). For Batman, I put the suit and forearms on a Mego/LJN body, and will get my Troy Younger Bat sculpt painted. I'll use the Mattel head for my Chemical King custom.

Midtown comics, near Time Square, had everyone from wave 2 except Batman for $24.99. At least they did on Aug 19th.

Found them in NJ at the Rockaway Mall. 2 Batmans and 1 Aquaman and a bunch of wave 1. I left a Batman.
Expectation is the death of discovery.
