Toys R Us Update.....Any Wave 2 sightings yet?

Still no Wave 2 in Wichita KS unless they sold completely out. But I did not see any pegs for them, this is getting depressing. I may have to buy them on-line.

Dude! You're not looking in the right place then - the layout of the store is changing with the remodel and they aren't with all of the comic action figures any more (so not on the aisle with Batman, Iron Man, and Spider-Man, like you'd think they would be). They have three pegs for these on the first action figure aisle, half way down on your right side as you come off the main aisle. However, the last time I checked was Friday, and all they had were Luthors and Sinestros. No Wave 2's have hit yet that I have seen.

When I saw them they were just sitting on a shelf so I got a dream come true. I pegged them myself!! Then of course took some for myself!

Yea, I found Lex and Sinestro, they have been there quite awhile. It is Wave 2 I seek. I checked today, nothing.... We will have to keep checking, thank you.

This isn't a Toys R Us sighting, but I did see Wave 2 and Wave 1 at Midtown Comics in Manhattan yesterday. $24.99 a piece. However, Batman and Superman were sold out. I wasn't in there looking for them, but stumbled upon them. They have most of them right across from the Comics/Magazines and some more over in another section of the store.

I've been prowling the Albany, NY area stores. No second wave yet. In the meantime, I took the money I was saving up and spent it on a nice new receiver for the car. Will still probably pick up one or two Batmans whenever the Batboat pulls in, but not as many as originally planned.

TRU in Beaumont,TX had four full racks of sinestros, luthors, and 2 green lanterns. Still at $20.

Nothing in OKC, yet. (I didn't make a special trip...I just happened to be across the street from TRU. I went in to look, but to have found them would have been a major surprise.)

Last go around, we got them pretty quick...on the day they hit the website. They are way overdue based on the Wave 1 precedent. Nothing on the website as of now. Almost three weeks late, at this point.

I fully realize I could order these from any number of sources, but part of the excitement was the walking into a major retailer and seeing them on a peg. Wave 1, I got straight from the stockroom on the day they arrived.

I'm grousing, but walking in and seeing them on the peg was going to be the experience for me. Why Mattel didn't expand to include Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart....well, I'm sure those reasons are beyond me, but a TRU exclusive falls short of what could have made it fun.

It boils down to this, for me....I can overlook the flaws in the line if you can give me something that comes close to the experience. Take away that experience and you have nothing for me.

I checked out TRU on line yesterday to. Wave 1 is listed, but Nothing at all for wave 2. I hate it when companies plays games with people.

I would imagine that Batsy will be heavily favored by the masses. There is not too many kids that I know of that does not recognize and like Batman.

I stopped at out TRU today just to check. They have had the same 2 Lex's for months now. If I had a job I would have bought them by now. So today they added another case of Wave 1 (2 Supes, 2 GLs, 2 Sins, 2 Lexs). Amazing.

That is kind of the same vibe that I have been getting from the TRU that I have been going to. There are several TRU's in the area. I just happened to pick the bummer of the bunch I suppose. I need to start going to the other TRU and forget this one I have been going to wasting my time at.

Atleast you finally got a fresh case of wave one. From the looks of things here these are the same cases that have been here since I started looking at them.

There are couple within driving distance of me here and I had to go out for another reason so I stopped by the Baltimore county one and they only had the Lex, GL, and Sinestro that have been there for some time. The other TRU that we normally go to stocked up on Wave 1 about a month ago and not much change has happened there.

I was very disapointed in the prices of TRU toys. We stopped off at target to get a couple of the Star Wars vintage carded figures at 6.99, but they didn't have vader, so we went to TRU across the street and the figures were 9.99! Priced the new
AT-AT, I was thinking 60 to 70, no over 100 bucks! They don't run the stuff of sale like target and wal-mart. How are they staying in business???
