I have those DC Direct figures. The mask is just molded to click on to the face. Now it's more for posing than playing, so it wouldn't stay on if you handled it like a Mego and took him on an adventure.

I did a acetone head shrink on a robin to get his head to 7" size and then took in his costume worked pretty well (hardest part was acetone shrinking the robin shoes). If these were DOC's bodies I would say make em in scale with the original's but....

I have been disapointed enough with the mattel 8" body contruction that I surely don't want to see mattel try another scale. Make them in 8" with big guns from New Teen titans.
Much as I would love to see an early costume Wonder girl, Joker's daughter/harlequin, Bat-girl Betty Kane, or Golden Eagle (which would be a simple mod if hawkman was in the works) the new Teen titans characters have the wider appeal - the book sold better and ran longer and those were also in the teen titans cartoon from the 2000's

I just want to say that the way they did Robin's mask here is the way I hope any future removable masks are done on the 8" line. I wish Green Arrow and Green Lantern had been done this way - I would've bought more to make secret identity figues.

I imagine it sticks with static electricity or natural friction?

As far as Titans go, I want them all, in all variations, but if I was forced to choose, I want Modern Nighwing (would also love a Red Robin), and a non-speedo Robin, and I'd take the rest of the 80s titans.

Would like to see both. Maybe one solution to this is to do all of the characters in the Perez style. All of the original 5 characters appeared in the Perez book, all drawn very well. Any representation of them would do well to reflect those designs. And while we're at it, let's throw in the original Hawk and Dove too.

i think those 13" figures still got it wrong. Robin's face is older and yet he stands shorter like he's only 14.

I'd say classic TT at lion-rock 7", New TT at basic Mego 8".

But other than Robin, I'd rather se a lot of other charcters first!

How do you guys feel about the scale between the Dynamic Duo in the 13" 1/6 DC Direct line?

The removable mask is cool, but how good does it stay on?

Regardless of size, I do hope they do the side-part version of Robin. I personally prefer the version of the Teen Titans that Mego made, but I think the 80s versions might sell better. Also, I would want them on the 7" bodies (Robin included) and I don't know if they have plans for making a 7" body. Either way, there are a lot of figures that I'd rather see before they make the Teen Titans.

They were about 15 in Young Justice and they got aged 2 years thanks to 52 and Countdown. thank puts them around 17, just about full size.

As you can see below, Tim as Red Robin is still significantly shorter than Dick as an adult Batman, with Damian shorter than Tim. With three sizes of Mego bodies to work from, I think the choices are clear!

they are making Dick look bigger to fill the batman size.

    Here's the Flash family.
Irie/Impulse should be on a munchkin/our gang body and Bart/Kid Flash on a 7" teen body if we are talking Mego-sizing.

bart should be on a body about 7.5 "s as all teens

It could be okay with Superboy at 8" since he's shown to be a bit taller than the rest, but why not keep the standardized Teen and Adult sizing? At a certain point it becomes kind of arbitrary if average adult height differences generally fall anywhere within a foot or more in the mid 5 foot and 6 foot range (if we are talking superheroes)?

look at the last panel if KOn deserves to be 8" so does Tim he's only an inch shorter when not crying on a shoulder.

Robin with the side-part (like Perez drew him) should be 8".

By this point he was headed to college.

Robin with this hair, as Dick Sprange drew him, should be 7" (or on a munchkin/our gang body if he was still the boy wonder instead of the teen wonder)

I'd like the original Teen Titans done 1st. Robin, Speedy, Kid Flash, Aqualad, and Wondergirl (Ponytail version) 2packs with their Mentor Hero would be great if you want these to sell at Toys R Us.

Modern Titans would be OK, but only AFTER we get the classics. Just remember Cyborg and Disco Nightwing have very poor track records at retail and are proven peg warmers.

Would they have made the new Titans in the same scale as the '77 original
    Titans?
That is awesome! I think its the best direction to go. That's why I'm happy you made Two-Face. Most of us already have a Joker and Penguin.

I'd love to see the 80's Titans like Starfire or Cyborg. Even if they are done in today's design it would be cool. I like Raven better in the Titans cartoon then I ever did the comics. I would also like to see Nightwing in his "Elvis" costume. I think that would be neat.

The original Fab 4 and Speedy could be done in 7" in thier original costumes even though that height is really about the size of a 10 year old. But they should also get the 8" treatment as the New Teen Titans as stated here earlier were 18-19 yr olds and deserve to look older and everyone else who joined were in this age group and should be larger. the only exceptions Beast boy and Tara as they were younger. Even the modern TT in the comics now are supposed to be 17 or older so they should be full sized. and YES i will buy them all at either size!!!!!!!!!!!!!
