My son has had his Batman for about two weeks, and the emblem has started to peel off now. It's all in one piece, but it's peeling up on the left hand side. I will add that my son has always been extremely gentle with his toys. They are well played with, but he doesn't throw them, bang them together, etc. like a lot of kids do. Heck he's better with his toys than I was at his age.

I'm going to try the glue stick method Doc Mego mentioned first. If that doesn't hold, I'll move to fabric glue (we don't have any in the house right now).

Should I lodge an official complaint to Mattel, or is EMCE monitoring things here and lodging them for us?

Not to speak for anybody, but it sounds like you should file it yourself. I think it will mean more than just sending them postings from the board.

I'll give Mattel a call on Monday. I tried a glue stick, and it didn't seem to be holding well, so I bought some fabric glue. That seemed to work, although there is a bubble in the emblem around one edge I can't seem to get rid of. I'm afraid to peel it back and try again, since these are so fragile.

When I bought mine, there were 3 in the store. One had the emblem half off, the other cracked, the one I bought looked good which I why I bought that one. However, if it falls off or something, I'll just make a new one in Illustrator and print it on sticker paper.

Mine came off in pieces so there was no way to actually replace it. I ended up making my own using sticker paper. My son`s was gone pretty much in the first hour.

The emblem problem seems to have gotten only worse, the the first wave, some of the emblems were cracked right in the box, now they are falling of peeling off. sad real sad. even my superman has a stress emblem now and its still in the box.

If You bought the figure in TRU just return. And say it is damaged. They would send it back to Mattel. No manufactory likes returns maybe Mattell will learn about something.
