    Batman Emblem Fell Off Immediately

The Batman emblem fell off immediately. Just a few minutes after few kids got a hold off it.

I greatly prefer the Superman and Green Lantern emblems which seem to be part of the fabric -- not quite but close enough.

I don't want to write the company and attempt to get another figure. That doesn't quite seem fair.

But it's very very disapointing that this happened.

Is there a way to glue it back on or something?

    Any suggestions or thoughts.

    Thanks.

Had the same thing happen and discussed in this post:
file under VERY megolike - Mego Talk

I think it is totally reasonable to call Mattel and let them know this is happening.
It is one thing for a small accessory like a hat or weapon go astray just after cracking the package, but losing the Bat on your Batman is something else entirely.

I just got a batman and the inseams were loose. Nice quality control. I called and they gave me $10.00 voucher....not even half the cost. It seems they didn't want to be bothered.

The arm doo-thingies are a bit frayed.

Just so sad to see the emblem fall off.

If they mailed me a new sticker that would stay on, I'd be happy.

Mattel has to get on the backs of the morons in the factory that are letting all these kind of problems happen...they are letting them get away with murder

I posted a photo of my emblem here if you'd like to check it out: http://megomuseum.com/community/showthread.php?t=45943. Mine appears to be a silkscreen, so I'm curious if there are different types of emblems on this new line.

That's interesting. Mine doesn't look like that.

Mine looks like a sticker that was placed on after the fact.

I'd love a silk screen version.

I removed my Batman's costume once to improve the body, and the emblem has begun to peel off around the right edge. It looks to me that it simply wasn't given enough heat to fully seal it in the first place. It's not very noticeable, and I have the cape positioned in such a way that it isn't visible anyway, but I forsee it eventually peeling off completely. This is not that big of a deal to me, as replacement Bat-stickers are easy to come by, but it would have been nice if the Mattel emblems could have been the same quality as the old Mego Fantastic Four emblems were.

                    Hmmmm....

Flexible, washable fabric glue will stick it back on.

I recommend anyone having an issue with an emblem write, call or whatever to the folks at Mattel. Paul and I brought this fact up in our weekly with the client, and they were surprised this was happening. So, at least the information is getting back to the client and we'll see if it reaches production. Keep these comments comin'...

I hope the problem is fixed by the time Flash is released. I had to buy several versions of Superman,Batman and Green Lantern just to find one of each with a perfect emblem.

Like I said in my other post they are crappy figures. They look crappy and the quality is crappy . if you don't complain they will make them even more crappy. What's the point in buying a figure and changing the body and boots. Mattel should spend a little more money and make a better figure.
