If Hasbro jumps on the 8" bandwagon I think their best bet is to go all out, with small waves of figures across all their licenses and properties, with Star Wars, GI Joe and Marvel Heroes. That way if one line is more successful than another they can shift production and use the bodies where needed. I imagine a Star Wars line would be the best seller, and if 8" GI Joe or Marvel flops the use the produced bodies for more Star Wars. If all 3 did well they would be well on the way to building a cohesive line across all their properties which could build of each others success. Of course I would then need to get 3 more jobs to buy everything

IMO, the best shot will be next the next Toy Fair since within one year, well have X:Men First Class, Thor and Cap in 2011 followed by Avengers and Spidey reboot in '12. If they're not willing to hit the market with that awareness, then they're not getting in the mix.
Disney has no say whatsoever? Just seems a little hard to believe. Why spend all of that money on Marvel then?
