It's not a question of anger, but rather aesthetics--removable masks, even at 1/6th scale, seldom look good. You end up with either a pin-headed fig or a clunky mask... This is apparant with Mego, Hasbro, Tonner, Barbie, & Mattel retro.
No offense intended (I'm collecting in multiple the entire Retro line, despite flaws), but the new Batman is no better IMO than vintage Mego in regards to the cowl--just different.
I can understand what you mean about playability, and also a removable cowl may indeed be useful with female figures & rooted hair.
But personally I'm relieved to see Flash & Capt. Cold sculpted.
Doc indicated in an earlier thread that Manta didn't have a removable helmet due to scale & packaging--shouldn't this continue to be a consideration?
Hawkman is perhaps the only other fig that could benefit from a separate cowl, considering the size & complexity of his helmet.
