Well, after seeing a close up of Black Adam...he won't make a good Namor Custom. Hell...he don't even make a good Black Adam.

I think Black Adam does look like Black Adam (but not also Namor).

Bear in mind that recently DC has been mainstreaming Adam & making him something of an anti-hero, and drawn a bit more conventionally.

This Adam seems appropriately "retro" and is, after all, a prototype.

When I initially saw Black Adam he looked familiar to me. After giving it some thought the actor's name came to mind - Julian McMahon - The guy who played Dr. Doom in the fantastic Four films. The likeness is pretty eerie.

One thing I'm really happy about is the fact that they didn't mix and match the comic book yellow and the gold.

Whether they go all gold or all yellow, I would prefer consistency on the figure.

The Black Adam sculpt is pretty close to the old renderings/appearances but the more I look at poor old Cap, the more I dislike it. I was so looking forward to him too. I'd like to think it will be fixed up on the actual figure but based on the fact Wave 2 look almost identical to the prototypes, I'm guessing that his way too thin and long head, the far too long chin, no cleft, and wrong hair will not be fixed. The sculpt is hideous. I hate to be so strong about it but it looks like a bad clown sculpt with no face paint. I guess, since he was the one I was most looking forward to, I'm very passionate about it.

I now know how Dane felt when he saw Batman. I think Batman scores about a 6/10 personally. The ears on the cowl should be sharper and those glove cuffs bring his score down considerably for me.

DESPERATELY hoping it will be fixed up by production time but holding out very little hope.

I don't know when these are going to be released but I'm gonna be on that
DARKSEID (for a custom Megoization) like white on rice.... fantastic. This is
the first time I'm getting a character in this line that Mego didn't make
back in the day, that I didn't have a solid Megoish custom of already. Wonderful.

Black Adam seems to be channeling that Kurt Schaffenberger vibe from the 70s

I think Black Adam looks just like I remember him from the comics--Schaffenberger seems about right.

I think the Black Adam sculpt is fine. But Captain Marvel...ugh! He's supposed to look like a man not a cartoon. The rest of the figure looks great but that head looks like it belongs with the Retro Ghostbuster figures.
