I like it, will be buying one maybe even two. Love the boots, not so sure about the tanktop, but I'm glad they didn't go for the bodysuit.

BTW, anyone else notice the way Two-face is staring at her butt in that photo?

And for the record, I hate the skin-suits as well for the reason of applying a dimension of reality to the characters. However, when the product-dev glasses get put on it's a whole different ballgame. So, having them produced so that they can be removed by customizers is definitely on our radar.

The peaks are supposed to run in parallel with the WWs, but in this photo it seems they've been stretched a bit. Again, probably an on-site display challenge.
Thank you so much for coming here and discussing the process with us! It's very awesome to get the behind the scenes look at the making of these figures.

Did you guys consider wire sewn in along the peaks to keep the shape and prevent "Wardrobe malfunction" as opposed to the spaghetti straps?

yes, but the problem with that is if the wire is too small it doesn't pass safety and the product is killed. for example, there is supposed to be a bendy wire in cheetah's tail (anyone mention that yet? maybe this is the first time), but we had to make sure that mattel a) had a process in place for that b) used a pre-approved material, etc. i can tell right now that bendy wire would have been too thick and made the top of ww's suit look like a shelf. and imagine the reaction here :-)

the solution we have, and i'm not sure it shows in the pictures is that the peaks are cut halfway down the center and the flaps sewn in an overlap to create two conical shapes, allowing for more contour than most of the ww costumes we reviewed.

additionally, i noticed that the "ww" emblem is a first draft, prior to a revision that came later. this is actually prototype #1 from the neck down, final head from the neck up. we sent a few more prototypes with a gold foil applique (like shazam's, and i noticed THE DAMN THING GOT BENT BACK IN THE DISPLAY CASE) cut more like the style guide logo, where there are two "w" shaped wings on top of each other, with a third layer between them on left and right to give more of an eagle-like appearance.

one more thing about the emblem...the effect we're going for is that the metallic gold rendering of the emblem is to kinda trick the eye into seeing an eagle-like shape, where you have to get real close to notice that it's two Ws for trademark compliance. i don't think the photos of the prototype as shown convey that at all.

They should have used this for reference.

                    Wonder Woman looks great though!!

She looks good but why the 80's chest eagle design? Didn't she have the eagle on her breasts in the 70's? That head sculpt looks wonderful...it actually looks like a woman and not a man with long hair. Superb sculpt!

WOW! love all the figures. Shocked to see so many Green Lantern's, would have liked something esle but I like them enough to buy them though.

BUT Love CHEETAH and WONDER WOMAN. I do prefer the eagle but I see where you sitched the WW's which almost give you the eagle look but I'll like the gold to have a point on the top as it is but with a point on the bottom too but have the sitching separate the WW's (like you do have) so it's looks alot more like the eagle but still clearly shows the WW logo but do like her and will get her for me and my niece's.

I love all the hair and I like the body suit on MM too and Cheetah needs her boots! Please don't take them off.

I answered my own question by reading through this thread....the "WW" was a legal thing. Nice post EmCe.
