If you don't plan on keeping the Mattel bodies, bash the bodies with a hammer and remove the head without risk of ripping the neckplug

        Zica body transplant.

Ok I recently purchased a Zica body, and The new Bats seemed like a great fit for the test run. I wasn't ready to tear up the new body yet so I Threw the old bruce wayne head on the Zica body and used the mattel costume, boots, and mask.

Heres what I found. The Zica Body is beefier...like I wanted, but it stretched out the emblem, and now it wants to fall off. The Mattell belt is more rubbery, and can stretch....and it needed to...it was a bit of a struggle getting it fastened, the belt is really too small for the zica body. It looks great, and will look even better when I switch over the hands. I'm bummed about the emblem comming free, but otherwise...success.

Seeing how the Zica body is a little taller it's good to know the Mattel suits also fit these

The Zica body looks interesting but I don't like the lack of movement in the waist. It looks like it's just a cut joint. I guess one extreme to another!
Expectation is the death of discovery.

I have used the Castaway bodies on the Mattel Superman and Green Lantern but the emblem has cracked and looks bad. Is there anyone that has a quick fix to this? I have a new superman suit in the mail and would like to keep it from being cracked when I put it to use. Thanks.

If you stretch the emblem...it will crack!....so if the body is just to big,you really can't use it and be sure the emblem won't crack

This I understand but maybe someone has figured a way to keep any of the Mattel emblems from being stretched when using another body type. I have thought about using spray starch or spray fabric glue on the back of the emblem. Any more thoughts? Thanks.

I don't think there is anything you can do to prevent the emblem from stretching that wouldn't damage it.

Is that the retro equivalent of "If you build it, they will come"?

Could you please tell me how to take the Mattel hands off? How do you take the hands off a Mattel body to switch to another (CAW, Zica, CTVT)? What's the secret? Thanks for your advice.

You have to dip the forearm and hands in boiling water for a few seconds...then pull them off carefully
