Didn't get overly involved with these just yet. So, for now just simple body swaps...I used original Mego bodies, the forearms and hands from the Mattel figures were transplanted to the Mego bodies. Everything else is pretty much stock except I tossed the Mattel boots. Batman has original Mego boots. Black Manta I'm leaving without boots but I popped a pair of CHiPs boots on him to show what that would look like.
Couple of observations on the Mattel figures themselves, Batman and Two Face have plastic snaps like the Wave 1 figures. Aquaman and Black Manta however have metal snaps. Black Mantas body is completely black, not just the hands. The belts, as noted in another thread, have those little plastic things that usually hold price tags on clothing in the back to keep it in place and are adhered on the front using a substance like you would find holding your new credit card to the letter that they send you with it. I still do not like the cuff material but I can deal with it after tossing the bodies and boots. For those boiling and popping heads be extra careful with Black Manta as his neck and top of his head are 2 separate pieces glued together. Now on to the pics...
