Just like Mike I dont really mind the floppiness all that much , I just like the figure to be able stand on its own , and correctly. Luckily all my loose ones do just that.

I bought five of them and two had frayed apart elastic and were broken before being opened! Why do I not love this line? $3.00 sounds like a good price for defective figures!Comment

That's crazy! I've opened 6, all bought at different times and I've had no problems beyond the loose hips. I added a little gasket and they all stand great.Expectation is the death of discovery.Comment

I do agree with the appearance of the torso - however - I want my Superheroes to look more like circus strongmen than average joe. The only hero I won't swap onto a Zica or Castaway body will be Flash. The Mattel body is a runner's body.
I'd really like to see you post pics of a restrung body compared to a unmodified body, both standing and lying flat from above to see the difference.Comment

I thought that the pelvis size might be the reason the legs bow out, and theorized that a Mego pelvis with wider leg holes might also solve the problem.

CTVT's are only $5 bucks for a reason. And for same said reason they aren't in major retail stores. Mattel you know has a lower production cost than any of the smaller companies. Their QC department should be ashamed of themselves especially considering EMCE told 'em how to do it right in the first place. Add to that, you know there in the Mattel archives is a special spot where previous Mattel crews disected probably hundreds of original Megos in the 70's to figure out what their chief competition was doing. That's not to mention the hardcore study they would of had to have done on Mego's research and marketing strategies.
We must demand and expect more. Plus do the math... walk it backwards... MSRP vs. Wholesale Cost vs. Production Cost... where does the hike come into play?Comment
