Not everyone has endless amounts of money that can be happily thrown in the trash on something that's pretty but defective.

I used the analogy above so these people might see what it's like for the other half.

They could have enlarged the various bodies they already use on the DCU classic and put some outfits on them and all would be well in the 1/9 figure universe. They instead chose to ride the retro road, and it appears there aren't any exit ramps to be found. I will purchase a few of these selectively and not buy blindly like I planned when it was announced.

I remain hopeful that Hasbro enters the fray by doing exactly that with Marvel characters, though I would've been happier had it been done to Four Horsemen articulated bodies.

I'm still hoping that Zica and Presidential Heroes in Action get folks with other licenses sniffing around their bodies and outfit suppliers and the 1/9 rennaisance continues.
