You said it! Just like the Wave 1 figures no doubt!
It's the golden-age of MEGO-like toys. Bring on wave 3, looking forward to SHAZAM (or who ever they may be).

Wow, Definitely better than the protoypes. I was hating on Batman because I felt the removable Cowl didnt look right, looks better than it did. The neck area doe still look a bit odd though, and that slit in the back that makes me feel uneasy. Other than that I am certainly looking forward to these . Aquaman , Two-Face , and Manta are Fantastic looking. I thought Superman was being reissued in this wave too ? I bought a case and it stated the anticpated Breakdown was Batman x3, Aquaman x2, Two-Face x1, Manta x1, Superman x1, I was anticpating a purple carded Supes could be there.
He was probably there, but still on his original card.

Besides the obvious body problems (which NEED to be fixed) these look great. The Bat cowl fits nicer and is less clunky than the Hasbro 9" version. The Bruce sculpt looks nice. Aquaman and Bruce have an early Mego flavor, while Two-Face appears to come from a lost wave of Megos after the Teen Titans. Manta is something Mego didn't really attempt, but he still looks very Megoesque. Nice job to all those involved!

Two-Face looks incredible! I got'em ranked:
Two-face
Batman
Manta
Aquaman
If Manta could stand, he'd get the edge over bats.Leave a comment:

I was hoping this wave would look better in person......and I"m not disappointed at all(putting the body problem aside)....they all came out pretty nice...I wasn't sure how batman's cowl would ultimately look.... but it's not bad at all (I bet you could snip off the cowls neck strap... then attached the cape to the cowl...it would still be able to come off the head because of the slit in back and it would look perfect)......from most of the comments I've read so far....a lot of you seem agree with me

No problem Anthony. "Boy Wonder" has his head so far up my a*s, I can't understand what he says anyway...Leave a comment:

Great pics! Thanks. Hmmmm. I'll break it down by figure:
Aquaman - With the original fix offered from wave one (with the tubing in the mid section) I think this figure will be awesome. Much, much, better looking in those shots than the others I have seen. I don't even have issues with the face anymore. Two thumbs up.
Two-Face - Wow. The loose shots of that figure are bad arse. Very, very nice. I wonder if this figure won't be the one that is toughest to get. Thanks to Bizzaro Megomauler's great shots, I can appreciate the head sculpt even more. That's sweet. Two Thumbs up.
Black Manta - Another good figure. Looks like it just needs the tubing fix and you have a classic figure for your Mego collection. Cool sculpt and overall good design. Another two thumbs up.
Batman - Okay. I like the cowl better in those shots. Bizzaro makes a great argument for fixing the "boxy" feel of the neck piece with a simple adjustment of the cape. That helped it. I agree with Anthony though. The slit in the back of the cowl is something of a distraction here. Yes, who displays their figures from the back (no one), but I guess they felt that a slit was the necessary evil to complete the closed neck look in the front. The Mego cowl definitely wins here. The Bruce Wayne sculpt looks much, much better in it's final form than the painted prototype. Yeah, I know it's the same sculpt, but the rubber cast reads better. My main reserve here is whether the tubing will fix the figure. He still looks like he has a Bat-wedgy, so I was hoping with a little costume maneuvering, that could be fixed. Doesn't appear so from the shots.
Well, overall I'm pleasantly surprised. Hey Bizzaro any chance you could take a shot of the cowl off the head? Is it just like the Mego cowl in terms of flexibility? Or is it more rigid and less pliable?
Oh! What we were all anxiously awaiting! Your "words of wisdom" review on wave 2... Even though you said you would leave it to someone else this time... I really appreciate it! Congrats on hopping into the Retro Action busLeave a comment:

The pictures are great and thanks for opening them for all to see as well. I'm just glad they're making these period. I know we all could make better figures, but we're not. Let's just enjoy these for what they are, Mego-Like. Remember there are no new Megos.Leave a comment:

As suspected...Aquaman is indeed the BEST of the bunch!
Twoface: kinds bummed about the Face change color, so I'll have to do some painting(no biggie). Manta looks cool...but I'm not a Fan.
Batman...my opinion remains unchanged. The Costume however is usable for Customs...and the Mask will make a great "Cat Toy".
