    Aquaman with webbed hands?

Would you have thought it was supercool if the new Aquaman had webbed hands? I know the comic character didn't, but I guess only the hardcore megoheads like us would have been into it.

For me, the biggest improvement is the printed scaled suit.

I think it would be stupid like Aquaman having pointed ears.

I think Doc mention web-hands for Aquaman at Mego-meet. It was a no-go because (1) it would require special tooling and (2) its not canon so DC would not allow it. It great to know that the guys at EMCE really look at all the possibilities for the new figures.

hows about someone crafts and casts up a set of them and the good Doc can hawk 'em in that nifty travel suitcase along with his other greatest hits?

Maybe some of the hardcore Mego history buffs would find it cool, eh?
Can't see that being a significant enough number for anything to be
considered along those lines for a new figure.

Actually, it makes total sense for Aquaman to have webbed hands

Rob Ligotti - Blue Meanie here on the boards - is the owner of the only
pair of webbed hands we have ever seen.

Since Rob is a fellow Long Islander, I could cast the hands and give
them back to him the same day - BUT it is up to him to make that
decision and I am not going to pressure him.

Not sure if i'd want Aquaman with webbed fingers.

Berto's once off Mego figure is inaccurate to the character so why would we want to duplicate it on a production figure that we want as accurate as possible ?

I have never understood the over the top quality of the fascination with this
                          figure's "unique feature".

Meanie has this figure...and if I've understood correctly (please correct me
if I'm wrong), aquired it loose...IMHO that means the hands could've come
from anywhere...so, regardless, it's my understanding that there was
once an advert (a drawn advert even!) with the WShark that had
Aquaman with webbed hands in it and that the combo of Meanie's figure
with the advert has caused this collector's broohaha over the "Megoness
of webbed hands on an Aquaman."

The thought that something based on something theoretically so flimsy could
be considered a selling point for a MATTEL product blows my mind, especially
with the added idea (as said earlier) that the hands with "webbing" have
nothing to do with "DCU canon".

Now, Doc, if you were to cook up a few hundred hands for those hardcore
WGSH Megoers that invest in the webbed handed Aquaman/Wondergirl sleeve
kinda stuff that get hardcore Megoers all warm and fuzzy, then that makes a
bit more sense... but on a MATTEL product, that just seems like too
big a jump from a smaller sect of "Mego Myth fans" to the 70s WGSH lovers
....or the biggest sect: the modern day DCU fans that get off on the Bronze
                          Age hero images.

                            Hue,
You just gave me an idea that the Museum is going to kill me for recommending ...

Make the Aquaman with REAL gloves (like Mr F)... Put a web hand figure in every 20 made -- no special markings on the package.

                            Ow, quit pinching me ........
Ok, ok, they should not do that

There's no denying the coolness of playing up to the main peeps here at the
MM... for example, that's what the Mego Meet exclusives are all about...
and if there's "a way" for MATTEL to give a nod and/or a wink to that
contingent, all the better... it's just when it gets to be a big defining part of a mass marketed product that I, personally, begin to question it.

So, yeah, Mike your idea there seems more sensible for sure.
