Paul it appears (from your video presentation) that you guys at the shop develop the look and then it's fine tuned, approved and what not by DC and Mattel. Would that be a fair statement?

I hope they only make one (whichever they want) and move on to other heroes.

I'm glad the Dr. said such an item ever does come out that it wouldn't be an exclusive. But to be honest I'd probably try to get it anyway, but wouldn't like the idea of the increased price.

What I would like is a better sculpt. The original Batman head sculpt looked dopey. It wasn't Adam West nor was it a good representation of the character from the comics — not Kane or Sprang or Infantino or Toth or Adams or Aparo or Novick or Rogers or Chua .

So I would like to see a sculpt that looks more like Batman from the comics.

I get the retro idea behind the line, but I would like to see an eight-inch line with all the artistry that Mattel puts into DCU and Masters of the Universe lines.

My hope is that one day the retro line evolves into an 8-inch line that is more representative of the characters found in the comics.

me being 1 of our few international dealer, seller, retailer, collector... so on

would monitor the situaution... not sure if id pay a premium off another dealer, would more than likely have to see what values the figure had, and saying that id only be looking to flip it and ebay it anyway, its a cut throat game but someone has to be at the top of it

id more than likely bribe 1 of my good buds here from usa or canada to snipe 1 from the point of sale... web? con? or where ever and have them grab 1 for me while i tucked up in bed

I more than likely wouldn't get Batman, b/c I have 2 Mego Batman figures. But even though I have 2 Aquaman figures, I will probably get the Retro Action version, b/c I really like it.

Would you be inclined to order it from Matty Collector if that was the only way of getting it? You'd need to be sitting at the computer at the moment they went on sale I'd imagine or lose out to the ebay dealers.

What if it were a convention-only exclusive? Or in the case of some San Diego exclusives, had some crucial accessory that is excluded from the online version?
Whether it's an exclusive or available at TRU doesn't really matter for us, we're getting screwed on shipping either way.
But no, i wouldn't order from Matty Collector, based on all the stories I've heard here. That and I'm not getting up in the middle of the night to order and exclusive. Besides, I hate exclusives.
I'd try to find it either on eBay or here in the Marketplace. But I wouldn't pay more than it's worth. If that means waiting a year to find a decent deal, then I'll wait a year.
