More likely I could see a line of Rock Stars instead of an Alice Cooper only line.
I could envision many figures for that line and I actually think they would sell if marketed right.
Jim Morrison
Mick Jagger
Beatles
Jimmy Hendrix
Pat Benatar
Freddie Mercury
Elvis
Sting
I like that list, just add MJ in there even though he wasn't Rock
I'd love a rock line. Beatles, Zeppelin, Elvis, Ozzy, Hendrix with axes and amps.
But as BBP mentioned previously in another thread, the licensing along would be too costly to pay the estates and artists. I know for Beatles line if replica instruments were made they would still have to permission from Rickenbacker, Hofner and Gretsch.
Maybe Scott Ian is a Mego fan and agreed to have a doll of his likeness? Not a very huge Anthrax fan but glad to see musicians are in the loop.
Mattel did a line of musician barbies. I'm sure they can afford it but for the boutique companies I don't think it would be financially feasible considering the demand wouldn't justify the initial exorbitant cost.

If eMCe ever got attached to Funko, we might could have access to all these and more. Funko has a wacky wobbler for just about all of these musicians (minus Benatar and Sting - I think), plus many more creative licenses like Hanna Barbara, Kroft, and Marvel. Too bad Funko and BBP ain't one and the same.
edit: This is not saying that the licenses for an 8" figure and a wobbler are the same. Just noting that Funko has a big pool of licenses it is already swimming with in a similar vein to BBP.
Love the customs! I would definitely buy a Mego Alice if it were out there. I think the problem you get into with rock stars is the cost of licensing. Those fees may be too high for the cost ratio at Emce. But then again a company like Mattel who could mass produce them may not feel the the interest is there to take on the risk. Great idea though!
