If the original Mego's got as much bad vibes thrown at it as the new Mattel line has...mego action figures would have just been a foot note in action figure history....Mego's first attempts had their problems as well....that fact just gets ignored

Comic con is not until later July so it looks like we have some waiting. It is a relief to know the line is still strong - 4 more sets, 16 more figures. Sweet. Plus exclusives, well if there are any. Any news about exclusives from the convention. I know about the ghost buster one, are there any others? I so wish I could afford to attend. I have heard it is sold out already. I think I will make plans to go next year.

I will be honest with ya all, I love Megos, am I disappointed with the new retro like Megos? hell, yes I am. Seems to me, that with 30+ yrs under the bridge, tech would advance to the point where the figures would be better, instead we find figures that break easy, are already broken, dont stand upright, are loose, have melting noises, come with strang unknown goo which the company claims is some type of sealent. Customes with snags or which snag very easy,ugly boots,parts which become unglued easy.uniforms which are look to large for the body and look to big. If the line was to disapear I would not miss them much. I would like them to last longer But for the cost I want a better product.
I know some of you might not agree with this, and some will, buts its my 2 cents on it.let me know.

I agree with this statement. I HATE the Mego T1 Body. The Molded Cowl Batman is a bad Sculpt...as is Captain America, and a few others.

So we'll call the Wave 1 Body...the Mattel Type 1. Lets hope for big improvements.

Since you asked, I don't agree with you. Maybe a little on some points, but overall I disagree.
Advanced technology has nothing to do with it, they went for the same charm as the original body, don't need advanced technology for that. Do the new bodies have issues? Yes, they do, but remember these were a first for Mattel in this scale, should be fixed by wave 2. It's normal for new toys to have some issues. Melting noises? You mean noses? First I've heard about this. A little sealent inside the bubble? Who cares, it's harmless. Ugly boots? I like 'em. Snags in the costumes are an issue, on that I agree with you as well. I hope that'll be fixed by wave 2 as well. Batman's suit does look a little large, but it's a prototype, the finished costumes so far looked spot on and tight.
So in all, I love 'em and I would hate to see the line end, I hope to see plenty more waves, up to 20 at least
