I say sometime between year 2 and 3 we'll see a Hawkman. he was in superfriends and therefore he'll in the top wanted character list.

Give your Mattel prediction: Will they make a Hawkman?

The material approach is likely the way to go here, and a wire along the upper edge works great for posability.
The problem is the package, and Mattel will not make a figure that does not fit in a standard package (they apparently never saw Toy Biz use larger blisters for larger figures). THey've used that as a reason they couldn't make certain figures more than once. If the wings could fold over and still fit in a standard blister, Hawkman would be a possibility. If not, I don't know how much of a chance we'd have to get him.
Welcome Back Scott!! It's good to see you here Buddy! You & Charlie Flatt the reason I started Customizing.sigpicComment

Anyone here ever own the "clash of the titans" pegasus mattel did? I always wanted wings fastened like that on a mego for hawkman. they could be nicely placed behind him detached.Comment

Material and wire wings or thin molded plastic wings are the best ways to go....I think it wouldn't be hard for Mattel to do at all."Thats the ticket laddie"Comment

an alternate, later-mego idea would be a flat but hard plastic one-piece pair of wings with a span as wide as the figure is tall... (thinking thicker but almost vacu-formed or "stamped" in appearance... maybe .5mm thick sculpt. Like a surfboard in shape) then the part could be packed behind the figure in the clamshell and simply attach to a peg or such on the harness back.WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.Comment

I like the Doc Mego wings.....I already have a great custom Hawkman because of him.....
I'd like to see one made just put him on a reEnforced Larger blister card.....Comment

I would really do hope they make a Hawkman. I would think it would have to be an exclusive ala Green Arrow. Hopefully if/when they do make it they have all the glitches ironed out as I wouldn't think swapping bodies would work as well on a figure with huge winge...Comment

Just saying IF it was to happen.....For the sake of getting in a nice set of wings why not make him as an exclusive and offer him in a box instead of a blister? Removeable cowl would be very doable and a very nice added touch as well since they already did a RC Batman.Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

I could care less if they made a Hawkman. "Back in the day" before the c&D when Dr. Mego was making/selling customs. I got a cool looking head, wings and suit and it has been the best looking custom out of all of them. If they could reproduce that in Mattel format that would rock.More custom Mego madness on Facebook right here...

A Hawkman would certainly help make a great JLA set, but unless Mattel can be convinced to keep the line alive said figure is not going to happen, in my opinion. I am getting eager for Comic Con. I have put my feelings of disappointment aside until I see what happens, time will tell. Just under a month...Comment

I would love to see remaining Challenge of the Superfriends characters. It was like that when I got here.Comment

My gut feeling is no. Unless it's already made, I would see them wanting to do the "big characters" still in the Q, like Robin and Joker before Hawkman if anything furthur is released. Just my opinion.Comment

Doubt it seriously. Would be cool, but doubt it.
