    My thoughts, exactly.

Well, the thing is that if you decide to open them, you'd better have spare Mego/EMCE/Castaway bodies... You'll find these figures so loosely strung that you they won't even hold a pose. They behave like marionettes...

Mine are opened but only to be upgraded onto nicer bodies and put into repro boxes by Mego73. It's the best of all worlds.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

That's very true...one reason to leave them MOC is that can't stand on their own. If you decide to open them...you'll have no choice but to replace the Bodies.

I bought 3 of them today(Supes, GL, & Sinestro). Of the 3, only Superman can sort of stand upright. He can only hold one pose...with his Pelvis jutting forward(like he's proud of his Manhood)with his Shoulders back. He doesn't look to bad though...I might not customize him.

Sinestro & Green Lantern on the other hand...are a complete mess. Neither can stand on their own. The Rubber Bands appear to be pulling the Torso forward, and are too loosely strung. I had no choice but to replace the Bodies with Cast-A-Way ones.

All in all...I'm still very happy with them. Sinestro looks even better than the Prototype...as does GL.

No ASSumption here....pure fact if you're leaving a toy sealed and unplayed with for eternity.

                        To BK:

You should read my comment a little closer. I said it bothers me when ppl ARE anal about never opening a toy. If people aren't anal about it and just decide they'd like it left MIB then that's okay.
It's the folks that gasp when they see a certain valuable toy being played with, yelling "You're going to break it" that really bugs me.

Oh, and ppl being anal about their posts too. Not naming names...I'll just whislte and point.

Now don't be so sensitive. Sorry if I offended you, buttercup, now go play with your Green Lantern.

I'll admit it--I'm "anal" about the actual figure, not its packaging
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

This is one of the factors that is leading me to lean towards leaving this first wave on the cards. They look great for display purposes and I would hate to see these figures flopping in the wind when I take them out. If Wave 2 fixes this problem, I would be less hesitant to rip them off. I have a GL set to go as a b-day present for one of the kids soon, so maybe after I see how he seems loose I will reassess my decision.

My tax return should be here in the next week so I'm probably going to go out and grab a second set to rip off the card.

Ultimately I'd like to have them carded and a set loose as well. Probably won't get that lucky with Green Arrow unless I find someone selling a nice loose one at some point for a reasonable price. But the rest of them I'd love to have an open set. For now I'm leaving the ones I have in the package.
