Open your Retro Action Heroes or leave them sealed?

I'm still waiting for my wave 1 shipment from Amok Time, but went ahead and bought the only 3 remaining on the shelves at my local TRU (Green Lantern, Sinestro and Luthor). I'm probably going to open these 3 and keep the others sealed. Hopefully will find another Superman if TRU restocks. Incidentally, the cashier commented that a lot of people have been asking about these toys.

I bought all 4 on my lunch break. I opened them up as soon as I got back in my car. Wow, they are really fun to play with. I know some people have issues with this and that, but really this is about as good as it gets for new toys on the shelves. I can hardly wait for wave two.

I've been opening them when I get them, so far Green Arrow, Green Lantern and Superman are hanging with my Trek EMCE above the drawing desk!

Opened mine and placed them on the shelf next to my Megos. Will probably buy a second set to open and play with. The only figure I still have in a package is the Greatest American Hero and that's just because it cost to much to risk getting dirty.

I've released them from plastic jail. And they stand and pose just fine.

I carved out a 'flap' at the bottom of the plastic case with an xacto, and pulled them to freedom as well. So the packaging is still intact and I can put them back in later if I want.

I'm leaving mine in; I like to see them on card since I like the packaging. Besides I don't play with them.

I have a GL on card and my son plays with the other GL, I have Lex on card in my office and the other Lex is a Trek Captain, Superman is on my dash in the car, Sinestro is in the back seat, the other Superman is a Trek LT. I like the artwork on the package so I will leave just one or two on card but I believe in opening all toys to enjoy and customize.

You should read my comment a little closer. I said it bothers me when ppl ARE anal about never opening a toy. If people aren't anal about it and just decide they'd like it left MIB then that's okay.
It's the folks that gasp when they see a certain valuable toy being played with, yelling "You're going to break it" that really bugs me.

Just saw this comment, so I went back and read the previous posts. Where were there any posts in this thread connected to being "anal" about not opening toys? (Maybe I missed it on my quick browsing.)

I saw the posts about being "conflicted".. nothing towards being "anal" though. Since there was no anality.. then why post a viewpoint on it bothering you, then defend it, if it's not related to any post in this thread? Seems like an arbitrary Tourette's moment.

BTW - your deflection is not really applicable.. as I just read the post, and had not participated prior.

Anyhoo - you can still answer if you want. I'm sure we would all like to hear what you have to say on the matter further. I know I would.
