Thanks for posting these. Vina is a good likeness of Susan Oliver, I'm sure the finished product will be even better. There isn't a clunker in this assortment for me.

Oh and Chad, that isn't James's sculpt up there, the Orion slave girl he did was based on Yvonne Craig from "Whom Gods Destroy" and this is the Slave Girl from "The Cage".

Uhura's head mold is a dead ringer of Nichelle Nichols. Its the eyes and eye makeup that are not painted accurately, (you can tell by her orange eyes)....once done,..you'll see how much it looks like her. (i did it).

The continuation of the new EMCE Trek Line, is the thing I'm looking forward to most. I'd really like to see Kang...he's my favorite Klingon.

I have the prototype for that Marta dress. Dave sent it to me, to figure out how he made it and then make it myself.

I'm glad the line is being extended for 2010. I'll probably get Pike and the Salt Vampire, possibly Vina depending on what the finished figure looks like. I'm wondering which ones are going to be realeased first, and when. I'm still hoping for Riley and Commadore Decker, even though I know they're long shots.

All The Vina Prototype Needs Is Longer And Thicker Hair, And More Details To The Dress Like Open Slits At The Sides And Material Similar To The Reissued Gorn, Arm Strap And Voula!!!! An Accurate Vina Orion Girl! (but Wished They Would Have Gone With The Normal Vina).

I'm glad to see more characters this year! Before the line ends I'd really like to get a Rand, some classic Klingons, and a green shirted Kirk from TRIBBLES. I think I may need to make a Rand until then as a place-holder!

These figures are great and I want to pick them up regardless of variations in the final product. My only, tiny, quibble that I haven't seen mentioned by anybody else is the space pants on Pike. In the pilot(s) I believe their pants were longer and the boots were shorter. I can't see them making new lower legs for one lousy figure, but perhaps Doc might consider (or already has considered) putting regular legs on him and some short black boots. Just a suggestion

I'm super-psyched to see Chapel! Her costume looks perfect. I was hoping for light flesh-colored stockings (not dark ones) and rooted hair, and the face sculpt looks really good to me. If I could only have one more EMCE Trek figure, she would be the one, as I don't feel like my crew is complete without her.

The Salt Vampire is a great surprise! It looks good and was on my top ten wish list.

Pike and Vina were not on my list, mostly because Pike - while a cool and certainly important character - won't fit in with the rest of the figures since he "pre-dates" them. I remember when Playmates made a 9" Pike figure, I didn't buy it for that same reason. I definitely want to support the line, though, so I'll probably pick him up...and perhaps customize him into DeSalle (it looks like that could work, what do you all think?). I'm also considering customizing Ben from NOTLD into Dr. M'Benga.

Vina doesn't grab me since she only appeared as an Orion woman in a fantasy/illusion in one brief segment of an episode. I know she's a prominent Trek image (it's a popular episode, plus she appears on the end credits sometimes), but I would have preferred Marta. Either way, I was hoping for Leslie/red shirt, Harry Mudd, and Rand before Pike and Vina. And I still really want a Neptunian!
