Any proto will generally have a slightly larger head, it shrinks in the mold process.

If EMCE had gotten the SW license then Doc would have announced it by now; unless he's waiting for the MegoMeet, in order to announce it then.

If, and I do mean IF he does get the license, I will gladly spend my money on certain characters, provided that they are done right.

Luke Skywalker (before Mark Hamill had the car accident and plastic surgery.)

Han Solo (come on! That's a given!)

      Princess Leia

      Queen Amidala

Padawan Obi-Wan (I HATED that beard in the second movie!!!)

      Qui-Gon Jinn

      Schmi Skywalker

      General Veers

      Senator Palpatine

      R2D2

      C-3PO

Really wicked looking X-wings and TIE fighters

      What else is there?

If he lands star wars, no prequel crap.

I agree that the movies were crap.

However, the figures would be great.

Thx for the answer. Some of the heads for CTVT seemed off. If the head shrinks in the molding process it would explain why it's just a little big. I guess the EMCE prototypes are little big too. Now I know why.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

I thought everyone was in the loop on this one, so I'll restate it here for the sake of clarification: The New York Toy Fair starts on February 12th. Several toy makers will be making big announcements, including EMCE.

P.S. - I would love Mego-style Star Wars figures, but the only way it would happen is if it was a Diamond/EMCE collaboration like the way they did the Star Trek figures. Possible, yes, but I'd call it a long shot. Doc, please feel free to prove me wrong!

During the holidays I was reading some of Doc's posts and I thought he was hinting at it. It was probably just 'wishful reading' on my part. I'm holding out hope until after Toy Fair or the San Diego Comicon.

I would be stunned beyond belief if EMCE, or anyone else, got any kind of action figure license from Lucas. Hasbro signed a huge agreement for about a half billion dollars several years back. With that much money involved, surely it had to be totally exclusive.

If not, then good luck to EMCE. Star Wars fans love to spend money.

Sideshow has the 12" SW license so I'm thinking this might be possible. No worries either way.
