Green Arrow head swap!

I think the figure is great right out of the package. I think the interchangeability with other figures just adds to my excitement. I plan on having a complete collection of retro-action figures and buying a bunch more to make customs. -
I agree he may be somewhat flimsy but there are some great qualities to this figure as well. The head sculpt, the outfit, the quiver. Overall a very nice figure. I think as this line continues the figures will get better and I am sure Mattel is reading this and will take everything into consideration. The line will eventually get better and better.Leave a comment:

Indeed, in the end this figure will end up costing me $48, and that really stinks. If it weren't Green Arrow, I wouldn't even bother.Leave a comment:

Green Arrow head swap!
Cool stuff.
I'm curious if the legs and pelvis can be replaced with Mego. I'm betting it wouldn't be all that difficult. Just string them up into the torso.
Those Mattel legs are sad. They have to angle the knee joint or make new lower legs or they'll always be bowlegged.
I guess, in a perfect world......It would've had something in the area of a Doc Mego Type 2 body, ....with slimmer looking boots. Hopefully, Wave 2 will correct some minor bugs!!!Last edited by Ivaniski; Jan 2, '10, 10:39 PM.Leave a comment:

Cool, cool, the hands stay in tight though?
Thanks a lot for throwing that together. Now I know everything I planned will work out, and I won't be wasting any cash.Leave a comment:

The hands fit okay, but the Mattel wrists are smaller, so it would look strange without the cuff.Leave a comment:

Oh hell yeah pmwasson, that's what I'm talkin' about! That is exactly how mine will look. The boot color could be better, but they still look way better than the Mattel Eskimo boots. How well do the Mattel hands fit the Castaway body?Leave a comment:

I think between Mattel, Mego, EMCE and Castaway you turned that figure every which way but loose.Leave a comment:

Okay, one more. I followed this recipe:
Thanks for the shot in the originalish boots! Looks better, but now I am thinking my recipe will be...
Cast-A-Way body (so he can have the swivel biceps)
Green Cast-A-Way boots (they fit MUCH better than Mattel's, at least Capt. Action's do, and the color and rubber style looks like it would match the figure better than Mego boots)
Green Cast-A-Way gripper hands (only thing that sucks there, is they don't come with green wrist pegs. I wonder if the Mattel hands will fit a Cast-A-Way body? They look like they might)
Mattel head, hands and outfit.
The added arm articulation makes it easier to pose him with the bow.Leave a comment:

Great info, I really appreciate this thread.
The Mattel hands look better than I expected, & I like the broad shoulders. Hawkman will look great shirtless...Leave a comment:

The sink color looks good to me. He definitely doesn't have a tan, but doesn't look pink or too white.
I also sneaked some pictures of the new body in an old suit. Hope this is what you were looking for.
It seems to fit fine. Again the scale seems identical.Leave a comment:

Green Arrow head swap!
I take it that's PMS 162 for the body color (skin) and face color (Skin)?
P.S. GA looks cool,.....Thanks for everything Doc!!!Last edited by Ivaniski; Jan 1, '10, 1:09 AM.Leave a comment:
