I need me some Red Shirts! At least 4 of them, maybe more!

On a side note, I bought my son a Fisher-Price toy at Target and it came with a 12 minute DVD featuring a cartoon called "Operation Space Rescue". There is a character in the cartoon called Officer Redshirt that gets into trouble although he lives through the episode.

Doc Mego Rocks! Bring on the Red Shirts!

I could never do what you do, Paul

I have such a big mouth I would let hints slip until I basically told everyone the secret a few days later -- if I even made it that long

Actually I talk my fool head off to family. Not one of them care a whit
about this stuff. I might as well be speaking ancient Hebrew.

They all just pat me on the head and smile and walk away.

My wife is the same way when I talk "Mego". She feigns interest but I can tell she cares very little for my toys.

Don't worry about it Paul, once the money starts rolling in from the new stuff, they'll change their minds.

Except for Ed, isn't he into Hot Wheels or anything with wheels at this point?

Eddie carries a Hot Wheels TV Batmobile with him almost everywhere.

I just saw the 1:18 scale one in Toys R Us for $30 - that will stay
boxed until he is at least 10 - maybe 25!

I did get the Bratz white convertible for $20 and it is actual mego
size. Since Mattel now owns Bratz, expect that line to quietly go away.

maybe they would let you use the mold as a baseline for a new non barris batmobile

I scored a Bratz convertible at Marshalls for $10 - figured I'd break down someday and do a Speed Racer.

I'm rather surprised that Mattel wouldn't want to exploit the line's popularity... I mean, I understand they would view it as potentially damaging to the Barbie property so I suppose I can see that angle. A lot of the Bratz toys were kind of Supa-Hoe to me, and my sister only allowed relatively non-hootchie versions for her girls... but they were still nuts over them.
