Can you get 'em without the gold bands or do you have to cut 'em off?

As far as I know, the red shirts only come in "Scotty" configuration (2 gold bands). But you can carefully remove the stitching to achieve your desired rank. If you are looking hard for it, you may be able to tell.. but the alteration should be pretty much undetectable. -

If and when that comes to fruitation, count me in for some Red shirts without the bars Doc. These Security Dudes feel abit out of place with those bars.

Yep, I would probably just carefully cut them off. Once I get back from deployment, I'll most likely make one or two with the 'tucked-in-look', y'know, like Scotty in 'Spock's Brain', and other red shirts. I'll make a wide black elastic strap belt for my guys.. I liked that cool landing party red-shirt look.., but it wasn't done in all episodes.

Why not add the blue and yellow without the rank stripes?
