I was so psyched to get the gorn, but after opening him i was like well meh....
like the outfit, but he looks too wimpy. maybe they will release the hulk style gorn as "the gorn captain" he is also lacking the communicator, which was a disappointment, as well as the belt. figure does not have much going for it except he is the gorn, and that's cool enough.

It would have been great to include the little silver communicator with the
Gorn - but it would have require tooling and the legs were costly enough
to make.

As for the outfit - I will post pictures of the different choices we had -
in fact, I brought a production sample with the first option tunic to
MegoMeet to be auctioned off to help pay for the server space at
the Museum.

Here's the deal with Gorn. Look at the back of the gorn card and you'll see the proto suit I made. The problem is this, the mego body is tapered and get's smaller at the waist. Gorn in the show, does not. He's pretty straight all the way down. So if you make the suit to fit a T2, he looks like a girl in a miniskirt. So I opted to make the suit straight, which makes it hang because he doesn't fill it out. Not much can be done about that besides tooling a totally new body.

As for the material, I've been looking for 7 years for the perfect Gorn material. Never could find anything. So I went with what is pictured on the back of the card as a temporary substitute in the hopes that China could find something that was better.

To get that metalic look, they went with a vinyl, which is why you get the stressing and cracking.

The problem is really the material and the design of the T2 itself. It's just not really made for Gorn. The design itself, if you look at the proto, has the proper shape and cut of the TV Gorn suit. The same angles at the top and at the bottom.

Actually, I don't consider you the tailor.
You're the designer, and I liked your prototype better!
Since I assume you didn't stitch each and every Gorn "dress" by hand (long nights if you did!), I was kind of disappointed by the end result.
I know you guys gave it your all. Paul already explained some of it.

Maybe my expectations were too high?
Anyway, I love to customize. Thank Zod that not ALL EMCEs are downright perfect....
