Correct me if I'm wrong, as you can tell from my previous Andorian post I'm not up to speed.

BUT isn't the Scotty worth the $ just for the BODY, Clothes and Weapons/Belt for making Trek Customs later? Isn't a repro Trek Body $9 BY ITSELF??

As I'm considering amassing a crew and a squad of Red Shirts and I need a body for a coming DeSalle or Riley head, I'm thinking I can't pass this up. I should get many Scotts just for the pieces. Right? Please let me know if I'm not thinking straight about this. I thought the Weapons alone went for $5ea anyway. I think I've seen Phasers for $5 by themselves.

You are right. Many times companies will sell items for less than they paid for them to get them out of the store to get new merchandise in. Not the ideal way to do it, but if they ordered too many they need to move the stock. As for FAO, we're hurting in this bad economy. I work at one of the FAO's in Macys. I got cut down to half time a couple of months ago and just waiting for the other shoe to drop and be out of a job. It's too bad we never got any of the EMCE figures in our store. I could have sold tons.

I would offer you my discount but on somethng this cheap, it isn't worth me oredering it and then sending it out with shipping. It's better just to order directly through the site.

Oh Helm ya!!! For $9 Scotties are very worth it......They had a Magnitude of Scotties, some with good collars and others with not-so good collars. I picked a few with the least minor collar problems (I usually fix them with cloth glue). At the store the Scotties were $9 biscuits each. I smell more security guys on the Horizon (Pun intended....Space Frontier).

Quick Footnote: With Scotty you get Star Trek body, Red shirt,Space pants,Phaser and communicator. At the store it's even cheaper as i paid about $8.40 for each. A Star Trek Customizers dream....

I will likely use these bodies for customs so I may have a lot of Scotty heads for sale later.


The accessories are well done? The bodies won't have issues swapping heads etc. I'm new at this. I don't think I've transplanted a head myself yet.

I think I may even have mailed an Andorian Head out to be painted and never saw it again. I have a Lt. Leslie head that really needs attention...

I'll place an order for Scottys and at least 2 Andorians asap. Thanks for the feedback and education.

Actually there are. Many of the Scottys(all the ones I bought)have a VERY red fleshtone...like Scotty got a really bad Sun burn.

Are there pix of Red Faced Scotty?

All the Scotty's I get will be played with, they will be Security Guards/Extras or loose their red heads and become something else. Like Leslie, DeSalle and/or Riley.

So the red face won't bug me. I may keep one for scenes when Scotty has been celebratin' a wee bit too much.

You're knowledge of Star Trek is Priceless (Kudos for the info you gave me on the Security Officers name)...And we're going to exchange little tidbits here and there on our "Pet Project"; Mini-Mego Star Trek Movie (stop and go animation). I have a doctor's appointment this morning in the city (NYC). I'll be picking you up (2) Emce Scotties from F.A.O Schwarz...(Free of charge on me), and i'll be including a sheet of the emblems/insignias i promised you for copying. Unfortunately, The Scotties "ALL" have red faces (Khan suffered the same fate). However, there are people here at the Museum that specialize on re-painting those rotocast heads (See my Chekov,Sulu,kirk and Khan Pics for reference). Just got back from F.A.O Schwarz, picked up the two Scotties. They had alot of Andorians, Keeper, Romulans, Scotties, Bones, Spocks, Uhura and a few Klingons. $9 each.

That is Awesome! I will PM you. You can ask me any Trek questions you like. I'm rusty now, but I used to be very good. I got lots of my knowledge from playing the FASA Trek game and I looked up all the "semi-regulars" to use them in the game and the campaign I ran. Then I did lots of research for that movie that I wanted to do.

The sad thing is that FAO is selling these figures for less than most retailers
(including me) had to buy them from Diamond.

I think it's odd that FAO is pricing them so low - but that's good news for
all of us (except my website sales). Buy as many as you can before they
are all gone.

FAO's website has no Star Trek figures listed.

I may get 3 Andorians. I will buy something directly from you Doc as soon as I can. I have my eye on 2 heads you still have up. You don't have an Andorian head up anymore. Is the EmCee Andorian the Andorian/Martian head you used to sell?
