I'd rather see a Green Hornet line based on the three major eras of his appearances. Plus Katos of course.

It was Horrible using action figures that looked realistic. That's why those DT movie figures didn't look right.
But if you make DT Look like the comic strip add the black suit and red tie it does work. Plus The Yellow coat is optional. I like Tracy without it but the Hat is a must.......Comment

Dick Tracy would be a perfect fit for mego's. Bright colors, cartoony looks, etc.
They'd sell better than Anthrax or Dexter in my opinion.Check out my website: Megozine Covers - HomeComment

This is exactly my line of thinking. I know there's plenty of reasons why toys come out when they do: a property is "hot" (or isn't, but has a good fan base and a reasonable license fee), or the heirs of an estate may not have the same qualms that the original party did, or someone needs to eat, etc. The stars align and the toy gods smile upon us. So yeah, when you look at the mountain of stuff that's seen a release, it's hard not to look at Dick Tracy and go "why is no one doing this?"
But in all fairness to CAW, EMCE, BBP and others, it's easy for me to think "why not?" when it's not my neck on the line. My financial stake in it is encompassed by a simple decision to buy or not to buy. Either way, I'm keeping my house.Comment

It would need to capture the cartoon features better than that Tonner Doll.

Yeah, Dick Tracy should look like Dick Tracy, and not a young version of Ron Popeil. I have to say though, I'm really digging the more subdued color of that trench coat. It makes you wonder what the original intent was, and if it wasn't more the printing limitations of the day that canonized the glowing banana hue.It would need to capture the cartoon features better than that Tonner Doll.

I always loved the Mezit figures, and think those would look great scaled up to fit the mego scale.

I'd love to get the chance to buy some 1/9 Dick Tracy figures. At least Dick, Flattop, and Pruneface. Dick would definitely have to come with the 2-Way Wrist TV.Comment

Many here know that when they were figuring out that they could take Action Jackson bodies and use them for licensed characters, one of the first to be considered and mocked up was Dick Tracy. I'd love to see a line.Comment
