As far as retro heroes are concerned, Castaway's The Phantom is waaaaaaay better than anything those other guys have produced by a long shot. They're producing quantity, while you guys are producing Quality.

I'd rather have one or two really great figures a year, than a whole lot of crappy ones.

Wow! I never thought Dick Tracy would be this popular.

I have been planning to make customs of a number of his characters, but after I finish a bunch of super heroes.

Also, in regards to his face not translating to 3D, you are correct. But, neither does Capt. Marvel's/Shazam's. Find the best Shazam sculpt and you'll have your Dick Tracy sculpt.

Does Warren Beatty have veto over Dick Tracy merch these days following his Dick Tracy movie from back in the day? My memories hazy, but it was discussed in the recent podcast at Word Balloon where Bendis revealed he was offered the Dick Tracy strip.

Didn't see it. Probably because I already knew in my mind it does not fit with them. It DOES seem a good fit for CAT, though.

Shocker Topys has a bunch'a Dick Tracy figures coming out. B&W as well as color. They seem to have handled the resemblance as best they could. Since thay are prodicing these figures does that mean you guys can't get a liscence to do Mego-like figures?
