If you WANT opinion, here it is:
I grew up with megos and have been restringing them since about 1974
When I saw the doc mego body I was blown away.
When I saw the ctvt body I was horrified.
Because I pretty much had all the megos I would ever need in my life before the retro thing happened, I had already moved on from mego.
Coming back to it I really had a hard time even accepting CTVT figures.
The rubbery heads, the rubber shoes. The bodies that just seem cheap and waxy compared to mego.
I was used to mego knockoffs from the 70's & 80's being of FAR higher quality than CTVT.
I never imagined replacing the bodies on so many figures before.
People used to confuse mego shoes with being rubber, but ctvt shoes are REALLY rubber.
If you never owned the originals you will probably be fine with Ctvt.
Like Microman, Action man, Cyborg, etc. reissues The originals were always more defined and you can tell the difference. Only with Ctvt the manufacturing quality is distinctly different.
