I used the CTVT red hero boots on a T1 Captain America, and I think they look great and had no problems of any sort with them.

Does CTVT still sell the Pirate/Klingon boots in black? Didn't see any on their site, just brightly colored ones.

PNGwynne is right: DO NOT buy any of the Blackbeard/ Gorn/ Klingon boots from them. They are too small for either type of Mego. I bought a pair and ended up breaking the foot off of a Mego T2 trying to get the darn things on.

Never bought any superhero boots from them.

    Great thought Samurainoir!!!

I changed the file name and reuploaded it, and it worked!
The word was Sanyo, from my digital camera, but the swear filter didn't like it, like you said!

    Thanks for your help!!!

I just wish Cast A Way Toys did the Black Hero Boots in a size that would fit Mego female figures. I've upgraded my Star Trek figures from EMCE/DST to Zica's Z-Body and given them all Cast A Ways vinyl boots. I'd love to be able to do the same for Uhura and Chapel.

They rule. All the boots by all the guys rule; CTVT, CAT, Doc Meegs... ALL of 'em.

Each brand has their best applications, but I've never had any problems or complaints about any of them. I used Doc's for my BDE custom, I like CAT's for my apes, hands down and CTVT are great for hero replacements and other custom needs. I think all the companies do us a great service and are super cool to deal with.

I have never had any problems with CTVT male superhero boots, as far as putting them on over bodysuits.
I put the yellow boots on my custom Dr. Fate though, and the blue bodysuit was showing through a little.
Doc Mego boots are much thicker.

They have an assortment for sale. 7 pair for $13. All different colors. I put a green set on the Retro Green Lantern and they look good. There is a purple pair for Luthor as well. Good deal, good price! 7 Pair of SuperHero Boots

I really like the CTVT red 'hero' boots for my matty Superman.
They look alittle slimmer from the front than even the old mego 'hero' boots, so from the front Supes has almost a 'Chris Reeve/Superman' boot look to him.

Also, the plastic is easy enough to trim along the top for a more accurate look. Good red color, too, IMO. Also, very easy to slip on and off. Can't beat the price, either.

    I know..., I know...'Pictures, Please!'
Well, I have no way to take pictures right now, so the description will have to do.
'Sides, been spending my money these days on mego and mego-like stuff.

I have a selection of CTVT boots on hand for customs. I like 'em, they work, are sufficiently Mego-ey and they won't break the bank. Although there are better quality ones out there if you have the extra special custom you want to give some extra pizzaz (I'm a fan of the Cast-A-Way boots).

I have no problem getting them on. I use "original" Mego Legs...and heat the Boots with Hair Dryer, and they pop right on.
