Hello, I think I sent email to everyone who preordered, but just in case I'm posting here for one last embarrassing time. If you pre-ordered and didn't get an email please let me know at [email protected].

I'm sorry to say I have declared the Chair Project a failure. After six months I need to let go of this and stop being angry at this guy and waiting for him to deliver. He may have come through one day, but all signs point to no. Thank you for your support and patience, I wish it had worked out. I've posted about it on the blog so at least anyone who does a google search on him will see my experience. Mego Museum and Dida Displays Projects I don't have the time or energy to take his lazy butt to small claims. Lesson learned. C'est la vie.

Important: Since so much time has gone by I can't issue a paypal refund without fees being charged to you, so please send me your address so I can send a check instead. If you don't care let me know and I'll paypal you directly.

I'm getting the money together and will issue refunds in the next 2 weeks. If instead of cash you would be interested in any Dida Displays I would offer what you paid plus %50 in trade, so $7.50 for every $5.00 you put in on chairs. Just let me know. I may also be putting some Mego stuff up for sale and if you see something you want let me know and we can do the same discount.

Thank you, Doc, that's very kind, but I need to make it right. We started this on my word, it was my idea and the mistakes were mine. It's not a huge loss, just a sucky one.

You could take him to small claims court to get at least some of the money back. Of course, you might just want to wash your hands of the whole thing.

I'm sorry to hear the Chairs have failed.

I had a relative working at an Injection Mold Plastic place in Ohio last year. If I can work his contacts to see about having them do the chairs let me know.

Also, I have to plug my legal services quickly. For $17/mo you could have had your attorney send this guy a letter or call him and lots of times that will avoid small claims court. Just a thought... call me if you want more info...

If I'm able to buy Megos next month I may also have money to help do chairs. What do we need to do chairs? A master to make a mold of and then a plastics place to duplicate them?

If that Injection Mold place could do the job, I'll call them or do what I can to help negotiate a deal. They are a real commercial company and the economy in Ohio may make them friendly to more work.

Need a Master

I just called to check on this. The company can make anything. They need a "Master" to create a mold from though. I had previously hoped they could make those cool Klingon Disruptors from James but of course economy of scale is a factor.

But I think there were 100s of chairs involved in this so maybe something can work out. I will try to call them next week to ask about this but I'd rather have Scott or someone do it who knows what they are talking about.

It is possible that I can participate enough to help push this deal through. I'm sure this route will be more expensive than the deal Scott was working on. This is some commercial plastics making company. I should have worked harder to get a deal done when my friend worked there but I'm such a part-time Mego dude... If I can help get this done, I will.
