Have any of you guys/gals that collect these noticed
that some boxed 9 in. Remco Universal Monsters have a yellow insert and some have an orange insert?
My Wolfie and Mummy do,check it out:
Mego Talk
I'm wondering which would be the earlier issue of the 2 ,
orange or yellow insert card?I'm thinking probably yellow is a LATER release bc that's what Creech and Phantom have(which came later than the 1st 4).
All you proud owners check your MIB monsters and chime in please.
Has anybody figured out the pattern with this?
I've seen orange cards in Dracs and Frankies on ebay as well.
Also,if you look at my pic above, you'll notice the Dracula is by Ideal
instead of Remco,I am aware this is a euro release.
Who else has one of these Ideal 9in monsters?
I'm also trying to figure out what is the timeline on those.
Best,
M

I loved the package artwork so much that I picked up two Frankensteins. I never saw Wolfman on the shelf (or the others) but did get me a loose one a few years back and put him in a beautiful reproduction box, which has a yellow insert. I know the series was not out long ('80 -'81 maybe?). The figures were quickly relegated to the 3 3/4 variety which seem to hang around a little bit longer. You can find that scale in abundance on Ebay. Just type in 'remco monsters' and you hit a jackpot. Here are a few pics:
