        I agree with Jason 100%.
Mego reused many things and it worked well. I think this figure is fantastic looking and a total match to the artwork. As a fan of not only mego, but the 8" clothed scale in general, I will give this line my full suport. I cant wait to get one! This is a great time to be a collector of 8" clothed figures.
Between Dane's figure, Dr Mego's Trek/Apes, Castaway's line, Megoscott's playsets and some of the finest customs, not to mention Toyroom and
Mego73 who create wonderful packaging, this is the age of the 8" figure all over again!

          Commander X PROTOTYPE Revealed!!

He kinda reminds me of Guy Williams version of Zorro, for some reason.

Maybe it's the mustache and dark hair.

I think the paint job is great dude, be proud of it.

Um, not to show my ignorance or anything, but just WHO IS Commander X anyways?

I'm not much into comic books anymore, (too expensive!), so I'm not up on any new titles or characters.

Well done--the outfit is great and I do think Supes looks like the perfect match to the character.

I do dig the retro style. I just checked out the site and think Sea Ghost would make a GREAT mego-like figure.

                Good luck!

heres some images in the Commander X gallery at comicspace

ComicSpace - Commander X Action Figure!

these images can show some of the thought process in re -using the classic Mego Superman sculpt.
you'll see some of the influences for the character-
like Doc Savage and the image that probably helped inpsire Siegel and Shusters Superman.
as well as the screen idols Clark Gable and Errol Flynn- who many comic heroes were based on-
and golden age lookalikes to Commander X, Tex Thompson and The Wizard
                            Thanks for viewing!
