If anyone's curious how the tally's looking so far, with the disclaimer that this was done super-roughly (there could be math errors or oversights or whatever), includes my votes, and is absolutely no guarantee of anything from anyone whatsoever, I got a hankerin' to tally up peoples' lists:

First, the characters they've already made:

        13 Captain America
        10 Hulk
        10 Iron Man
        10 Spider-Man
        8 Human Torch
        8 Invisible Girl
        8 Mr. Fantastic
        8 The Thing
        5 Thor
        3 Falcon
        3 Green Goblin
        2 Lizard

I was surprised that Falcon, Green Goblin, Lizard and perhaps especially Thor didn't do better.

Now, the characters Mego hasn't made yet (I allowed for 1st to 10th place ties here):

        16 Dr. Strange
        16 Dr. Doom
        13 Hawkeye
13 Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze, but there were also 2 votes for Danny Ketch and 1 for Robbie Reyes)
13 Jean Grey (in all of her various iterations)
        13 Wolverine
        12 Black Panther
        12 Cyclops
        12 Daredevil
        12 Nightcrawler
        11 Colossus
        11 Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew)
        11 Storm
        11 Vision
        10 Scarlet Witch
        10 Sub-Mariner
        9 Electro
        9 Loki
        8 Beast
        8 Black Widow
        8 Iceman
        8 Mysterio
        8 Thanos
        7 The Angel
6 Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (in all of his iterations)
        6 Kang
        6 Luke Cage
        6 Rhino
        6 Silver Surfer
        5 Dr. Octopus
        5 Kraven
        5 Magneto
        5 Nick Fury
        5 Nova
        5 Wasp

I did not expect Doctor Strange to be as popular as he is! Mysterio was kind of a sleeper to me, too, but he is really cool looking, so it makes sense. Glad to see some love for female characters here, especially Spider-Woman (Jean Grey's no surprise, no matter which costume people would like her to be wearing for the figure). I was actually surprised that Rogue, Kitty Pryde, Capt. Mar-Vell, Moon Knight, Iron Fist, Adam Warlock, any version of Carol Danvers, Hellcat (both she and Nighthawk were the coolest-looking original Defenders, and I feel like I'm out here by myself repping for them) and yes, some popular characters that were created after Jim Shooter got fired in '87, too (Venom, Carnage, Deadpool, Kamala Khan Ms. Marvel, Miles Morales, X-23, Jessica Jones, Squirrel Girl, the Thunderbolts and New Warriors, etc., just to name a few) haven't been more popular so far (they're all below 5 votes). I'm guessing people feel like Deadpool needs no help getting a figure made, though, kinda like Harley in the DC line, but otherwise, we're all really, REALLY Bronze Age here so far.

I just realized that I didn't spot one vote for the Punisher, too! Not my favorite, but that's really surprising.

I have my customs of the first 6 X-men, all the others up to before gambit joins. The first 7 New Mutants, No Warlock. All the other Avengers not yet done about 20. That should keep them busy for a while. OH Alpha Flight!

              The grim reaper
              The red skull

If they are doing a "flamed on" version of the Torch, how would you distinguish between the Golden Age Torch and Johnny Storm? Wouldn't it be the same figure?

here is how i would distinguish between both human torches:the golden age one would wear his red and yellow outfit, and johnny storm would be flamed on,it would be two different figures

I get it from a collector's POV, but what is the play value for a toy of the Human Torch that doesn't have flames?

To me the answer would be that the Golden Age torch would have a smooth head with lines rather than facial features (as he was traditionally drawn). GA Torch’s suit would be heavily lined as well. I think those items would separate them well.

I'd like them to make a Johnny Storm figure from the face sculpt of the original Human Torch figure. That would be super cool!
