DC/Marvel Superhero Balance

I personally like to balance DC/Marvel in any collection if possible.
I been moving on from many Classic TV Toys thinking that we really won't ever get a full take on Marvel.
So I am looking forward to Two Face, Bizzaro, but really mostly Brainiac.

Then the Talosian and Andorian but that's not superheroes....

I wish there were some Marvel megos in the works. I like both DC & Marvel. Would love a new Hulk figure, Moon Knight, Black Panther Megos would be awesome.

I wish they could do a 50 th anniv. Spiderman because he was the one that blew me away as a kid when I found him at a local toy store.

It's 46 years later and still no The Incredible Hulk TV Series figures from any company, ever. I hope I don't go to my grave still counting the years lol.

I never was either DC or Marvel in fact I was prob running on Mego fuel because Spidey Hulk Iron Man Lizard Thing my goodness this was Mego.
I always wanted Brainiac so I am happy to get him. But even Nightwing seems like a stretch without Spidey :-(

I would love a Lou Ferrigno Incredible Hulk figure, as I'm sure many would. I would also dearly love a Nicholas Hammond Spiderman. I assume the licensing required makes this unlikely.

Seems strange since the Clearance sections seems full of Marvel these days from the Hasbro stuff.
Anyhow I purchased many of the "2nd tier" DC Heroes along the Classic TV Toys road and I don't even hold them nearly
as close as the main Heroes.

Without Marvel we might as well finish the Brady Bunch if you ask me :-)

Yes, my guess is No Disney/No Star Wars/No Marvel. Perhaps we'll learn more at MegoMeet.

I don't hold Hasbro in high esteem either, from completely abandoning 12" GI Joe to scuttling the 3.75 Kenner Retro line.

The Mego/Hasbro collaboration would have been more profitable if it were Marvel and not G.I. Joe. Just imagine if it was a Spidey/Green Goblin two pack instead. Or Captain America/Red Skull. Or Thor/Loki. Those would have all sold very, very well.

How does a small toy company like Mezco have both Marvel and DC rights and make figures from both companies, and Mego can't. It's not like Hasbro is making 8"cloth retro figures . When Diamond did the Marvel sets and charged $80. 00
I would have rather paid for a Mego Spiderman 2 pack ( original and Black suit) than the one figure with 2 extra suits and heads. I would still pay $ 80.00 dollars for a Spiderman 2 pack even if it was 2 of the same Spiderman figures. Diamond gave a good try but even a 2 pack of Spiderman Mego's could have had a color variant( on the second figure), but either way now nobody makes Marvel Megos . The Diamond price of $80.00 turned people off and I had no use for the extra suits, and heads without a second body

If the license Hasbro is offering is the same as it was when Diamond Select made the EMCE Marvel sets, it’s for a collectable figure that retails for $80+. Mezco, Sideshow, Hot Toys, etc. all sell for way more than $80 so that license works for them in a way it doesn’t for Mego.
