Yep, I totally welcome supporting cast characters too. It adds some visual variety to the shelf.
And I too will be surprised if what they're planning on for this year all make it by Christmas. If not, well, that's fine; it's a lot of cash to come up with in a short period. It's just great to know they're on the way.
It looks like all they have left that haven't been solicited or announced are the Hawkman, Green Lantern and Flash figures. If they can squeeze those out with a Black Canary or Hawkgirl, then this will have been an incredible and satisfying run in a short time.Comment

Lex Luthor looks GREAT! And Superboy looks pretty good. Careful flying with that grin. He will get bugs in his teeth!
I notice the cape is hemmed around the edges. I wonder if it has wire around the edges so you can pose it.

Happy with the announcement, though i wish we had seen the Kent prototypes. as well. Superboy looks like the proportions are about perfect; the smile is a bit much, but it's unmistakably the Boy of Steel. Luthor's shiny noggin looks a little big, but it's hard to tell without seeing the whole figure. Given how many times I've had to say that this year, though, I think it's a 90% chance or better it comes out too big, just not quite Bizarro big from the looks of it. If so, it's a shame (again!!!!), because the sculpt does a great job of channeling Luthor. The evil bent of the eyebrows mixed with the smug, condescending expression sculpted on the face screams Lex to me, so I think they did a great job of capturing the character rather than just making a generic bald head. I really want to see Ma and Pa, though, because, to me, they are the most important characters in the whole mythos next to Supes himself. He would not have become the world's greatest hero without the guidance and love the Kents gave him; figures of these two is long overdue.Comment

What's going on with Superboy's tiny emblem? And why is Luthor wearing that all-white outfit? Did he look like that in his very first appearance or something?Comment

Superboy not very good, horrible looking smile would have been better off with just a normal grin look, small chest emblem.
No comment on Ma and Pa Kent yet until I actually see what they look like. Luthor face looks almost the same as the Mattel
line, and it looks like he's wearing his early days labcoat outfit. Looking forward to wave 2, but not so much this wave 3.
maybe instead of Superboy we could have added an extra villian like Parasite or Brainiac.Last edited by TrekStar; Jun 12, '15, 7:35 PM.Comment

I'm thinking there could be LOTS of Lex variants coming up. He went from this, to a business suit, the the pink/purple and green outfit, all the way to the armored version. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with him.
I'm actually glad they started with the labcoat version. Otherwise it would just be a duplicate of the Mattel look.
Now if they will do a couple of boxing gloves out of a clear green material, he could have Kryptonite boxing gloves! Plus the eventual Green Lantern figure could have them as well. Or Batman could have them for standing down Superman.
Gee, who in the DC universe wouldn't want Kryptonite boxing gloves???

Maybe FTC was going by the Luthor in the first Superman chapter serial from 1948, he did wear a white outfit
and labcoat. Kryptonite boxing gloves?? nice try but Superman's no fool, he would come up with some
idea to solve that problem, lead lined suite and maybe some lead lined goggles.Comment
