Just to put it in perspective... I can see that the cowl is big, but in the real world Adam West's hair and ears flatten to get a tight fit. On an action figure, its hair and ears stay the same. By nature the cowl would have some size issues. For the overall look, I am happy to see this.
Another perspective, I showed this to my 10 year old son, who is much more into Lego these days than Megos, saw this and was asking me when it was available, when could we get one, and then reminded me that we haven't played with his Megos for awhile and could we do so instead of going to bed.
As a collector, sometimes things cannot look right, but it is nice to see just play value in a toy.

Very well stated. I think that in order to achieve a tighter fit FTC would have to make the Adam West head in two pieces. One would be the balded head and the other would be its hair (and maybe even ears). You can place the smaller/tighter cowl just over the balded head when displaying Batman and the two pieces head when displaying Bruce.
Having said that, I really think that their prototype looks good with the current constraints...
I decided to make my own RC TV Batman and happy with it:
I am just relieved FTC confirmed on Facebook that BATGIRL is in Wave 5 along w/ RC Batman and O'Hara! Now Newmar Catwoman please! Then Barbara and Commissioner Gordon! Where's he?
I will definitely purchase this figure when available, my favorite has always been the Mego Removable Cowl Batman, it was my first Mego in 1973, and I loved the Batman 1966 TV show that played in reruns a lot during that time. I just received my first Figures Toy Company figure - the 1966 Removable Mask Robin and I am very satisfied. Thank you
