I'm crossing my fingers to the point they are going numb hoping for the 3 Catwomen! I REALLY REALLY want Ertha Kitt!

I doubt I will get more Batman and Robin variants, but will eagerly seek out the rest of the characters.

I think there shouldn't be variants of Batman and Robin in the next two series.

If someone just started to collect the line, he can still get B & R from series 1.
And if series 1 should sell out, there will still be the "Heroes in Peril" variants.
So the two heroes will be available for new collectors for some time.

I hope that series 4 has four new characters in it.
And series 5 should have four new characters as well.

I understand that manufacturers love variants, because they are a way to reuse existing molds
and thereby help to reduce the overall costs.
But if a line has too many variants, collectors might get tired and lose interest.

I like the Batman and Robin variations as long as they strive to make them truly different from one another. That keeps the line fresh and different as they extend deeper into the series. Because I'm sure that no matter what villains they make, Batman and Robin will continue to be their top sellers. It's a very unique situation anyway you slice it. I highly doubt any other company will ever pour this much detail into the history of this series again. It's so neat to see them covering so many characters. Truly a unique time to be a fan of both the series and the Mego format.

I too would like to know which villains have a shot at coming and which ones are off the list due to likeness rights. Like will Julie and Otto be the only versions of Catwoman and Mr. Freeze? Any chance for George's very different outfit? What about False Face? Olga? Clock King? Siren? or Louie? Clock King in the comic looks just like the actor. Also, George's version of Freeze was seen on a variant cover of a DC Comic last year. That month DC used Batman '66 as variant covers for many other titles.

A good post and I'll add that some figures are being delayed for research and development reasons( better sculpting and outfits designs etc).

I'd like a FTC every month and it looks like we might get that in 2015, but my budget will really work a wave every other month since I at least get 2 of each wave!

With all of these promised figures, I'd like to see a wave come out every month of something! Every other month at least!

I probably won't get a John Astin Riddler, but that doesn't mean many other collectors don't have hiim at the top of their list.

Personally if a removable cowl Batman is done well, I think it would be a cool figure. If they are released far enough apart, I'd get all three catwomen. Not interested whatsoever in Joker and Batman in jams with a surf board, but I would buy a batman with a rubber shark.

With so many characters possibly in play, it would be hard to find a consensus beyond the first wave and Batgirl and Catwoman. It's not a bad thing that CatWoman and Batgirl have been held for awhile. Gives us something to look forward to.

Everyone thinks differently about this stuff.

But I agree we don't need Batman/bruce Robin/Dick in each wave.

No one asked for these or wanted them. Yet they could give us Surfer Batman and Surfer Joker but they don't. These two were on the most famous episode of the third season, but FTC gives us variants of versions that never even appeared. I can understand fans negative reaction towards variants. I don't recall anyone complaining over the first batch that included Pink Cowl Batman, Opera Clown Joker, The boxing Batman/Riddler etc. because they were all sold outside of a wave and were valid versions most wanted. Now however, we are seeing lame variants just thrown together to make a few bucks (tied up versions) and forced into waves to eat up space where a cool much needed villain (King Tut, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze etc) or (Alfred, Commissioner/Barbara Gordon) could be. This is where it starts to get annoying. Very annoying.
    exactly!

outside the regular waves they can make all the stupid variants and exclusives all they want...but make the regular waves 4 BRAND NEW characters....I'm tired of hearing about "oh we're getting characters that never got figures or we never thought they would get made"......We know we're getting Bookworm,Mr Freeze,King Tut,Catwoman,Batgirl and more,so LET'S START SHOWING THEM AND GET SOME PRE-ORDERS UP for these demanded characters...Wave 4? Wave 5? enough talk! let's go!
