I just hope the Nightwing sculpt and outfit are killer. Same with the 7" Robin. An entirely new head that best reflects his Silver/Bronze look.

Hope the Flash is good, but I'm pretty pleased with Hasbro. Plus, they already gave me my favorite GL (Guy Gardner).

I'm most looking forward to a Neal Adams BATMAN & ROBIN. But I'm dying to see FTC Flash & Green Lantern . Mattel's were a big disappointment. Mattel's Green Lantern was passable for a re-worked Capt.Kirk...but the Flash was just hideous.

I don't get all of the dislike for the Mattel Flash head. I thought it did a decent job of capturing the silver age look of the Flash. I tried to sculpt a Flash head with that look back when I had time to sculpt (i.e: single!) Here are some pics for comparison.

On second thought, if my third or fourth sculpting attempt looks similar to a professionally sculpted head...... oh well to each their own. I guess I look at the Mattel Flash and think, Hey, I (almost did) do that...

That Jimmy Durante nose is a starting point of why I HATE that head sculpt so much. But it's just an all around bad sculpt in general .

The only way I can see them doing Nightwing in the Disco outfit and keeping it at the normal price point is if they print it similarly to Wonder Woman. It has a LOT of detail that would be very expensive otherwise.

But as long as it fits well, it should still look good. I have high hopes for it.

While it's easy to see some of the drawbacks to that initial Mattel Flash figure, it will always hold a special place for me because it was the FIRST. I still LOVE the boots and tread detail. Because Paul made it happen, I had some magical Christmas moments with a Mego-style Flash and that gives it all the merit I will ever need. Thanks Paul!!!

The Matty Flash head seems to be modeled off Carmine Infantino's late 60s art on the character. If the body would hold a running pose, it'd be solid to me.

Actually, i liked the Mattel Flash. I just didn't like it's profile pertaining to the nose. Therefore, i did a little Rhino-plasty on him with my dremel (+ repaint) and problem solved...See pics below, post modification.

I think Mattel Flash looks better now....to me at least (it's subjective Ya'll).
